Highly recommend Yachtsman

I'm new to the forum but I must say the Yachtsman Steakhouse is a great place for a steak. I had the Porterhouse and I must say it was literally the best steak I have ever had. Not only was the steak amazing but the service was just the same.

Thank you for this post! We are trying Yachtsman for the first time, on our next trip. It's not until July 2012, but it is definitely on our list already. DS6 loves steak (his favorite food), and we tried Le Cellier on our last trip. He loved it. DH and I thought it was OK, but want to try one of the signatures next time instead. Yachtsman is also right across the lake from BWV, our DVC home...so it is very easy for us to go there!

can someone comment on the dress code for Yaughtsman--I'd like to consider it for our spring trip but we would be staying at POR--I just want to factor in travel time back to our resort to change if park attire is too casual for this restaurant.

I'd say, its a "Go back to the room and freshen up" kinda dress code. I wore dress jeans and a blouse, Fiance wore Khakis and a button down shirt.
We saw some people in park shirts and shorts too, though.
So its up to you!
It's def a steak, not to be missed! Just dont show up in cut-off's, wife-beater tank top and your hat backwards, lol.
