Highly Recommend Vero Beach!

We just got back from a wonderful week at Vero Beach! For anyone who has not been, I highly recommend it.

We rented points for the 2nd time for a DVC property and it was this stay that convinced my DH to look into purchasing a membership.

In fact, we decided that the ideal vacation would be 1 or 2 days at the parks and the rest of the time at the beach. While I was disappointed in the menu selections (we were in an Inn Room) and think they should really open up a Beaches and Cream style place, the resort was wonderful. So many activities for the kids and adults. Very safe environment and beautiful beach.

If you do go, I also recommend Orchard Island Pizza for delivery. Best pizza ever!

Yes, Vero Beach is absolutely amazing. We did a split stay there with OKW, and I wish stayed the whole week at VB. We have young dds (8,5) and they want to stay at Disney as opposed to the beach. I will just have to wait until they are older. We ate at Ocean Grill down the road - Florida Lobster - a great meal!!!

Best Pizza Ever??? In Florida??? Where are you from???

I am Italian and originally from Ohio. I live in Indiana now where it is difficult to get great pizza. This was traditional New York Style and totally rocked! Alright, not as god as going to the city and getting some but better than anything I have had in a loooong time. I think the owners must be from NY!

Everything from the sauce to the crust was yummy. My DH had wings and said they were awesome too!

We love Vero BEFORE WDW! A few days on the beach to relax and regroup and then we head on over to the parks. Have thought about doing it the other way but we never would be able to tear ourselves away from the parks until we have to leave for the airport so it works better for us...

Hey Mom B, DH and I do the same thing, VB first then up the WDW for my Mickey fix for a couple days. I hate leaving the beach!!!

We have done VB before and after WDW. We prefer to go after, look forward to the r and r after a busy week in the parks. VB is just so laid back and casual.

We just stayed here for the first time after a cruise and had planned on 2 nights, but our son got very sick so we had to leave after only one night. Now I am dying to get back there! I loved it. Jealous of all of you who have trips planned there soon, especially those of you who are going for a few nights or even a week!!!
