Does anyone know if the cruises run on "seasons" like the Disney resorts? I know it probably is cheaper during hurricane season!! If anyone knows of a place where I can find this information - please let me know! I priced out one time frame, and that took me about 10 minutes for each cabin, so if I had an idea of "seasons" it would make my research much easier!

Thanks!!!

DCL doesn't have official "seasons" where prices change like the Disney resorts do. But there are definitely cheaper and more expensive times of the year to cruise. Basically, cruise prices are expensive whenever kids are out of school - summer, Christmas holidays, spring break, etc. You can get pretty good deals in "off" seasons, such as Sept thru mid-Dec, Jan-Feb and some dates in the spring.

A good place to quickly check out the price differences by week is on the All Seasons Travel website: www.allseastravel.com

You can use this site to scan the prices of each cruise by cabin category and number of people cruising. These prices may or may not be the best (always shop around - we've gotten the best rates from DU) but they are a good guide as to overall seasonal pricing trends.

Hope this helps!

I know when I first started looking Feb was the cheapest month for 2005. We were going to sail feb, 5th and it was the cheapest sailing available. There were a few other sailings that were the same price, but none were cheaper. I think sept and oct were among the other "cheap" months.

Thanks for the help! I think we are looking at early March 2005 - we want the parks to be open later at night (we just came back from a trip to WDW during the first week of March, and the parks all closed really early!).

I was surprised at the difference between weeks - there were two weeks that I compared where one week was almost twice as much as the other (exact same accommodations!). And they were only two weeks apart!

Thanks again!!;)
