High School Related Rant (sorry winded)

In my experience this year, it seems like an easy way out for the teacher. With the end of another year in sight, it seems 'group projects" are everywhere. It is less work to grade and it boosts scores of those who would normally not pass. I just wish there was more class room group time so the teacher can see who does the work and grade EACH child accordingly.

I would have your daughter write out exactly what she has done to contribute to the project, and exactly what everyone else in the group has done one by one (if anything at all of course) and submit a copy to the teacher with the project. If the teacher refuses to ackowledge it, and gives each group member the same mark, then I would go to the Principle, its not fair that she spend her weekend doing work for other students.
