We put our deposit down at our state school, about 45 minutes away, so happy! It has a great reputation and my daughter is planning on a Health Science major with a Masters in OT as her goal. She met a girl with the same career in mind who was looking for a roommate, and she seems really nice and normal, says she isn't into partying (yay), so I hope that will work out!
although we like it. RIT is very close to home and tons of kids from her HS go there, which is not a plus for her. Yes, this time next year we will have forgotten all about it (hopefully) but it stings to realize that hard work doesn't always pay off. Seems you need to be mighty rich, or willing to sell your future to go there. Very unfortunate for deserving kids without a huge trust fund. Fortunately she does have other great options, and can graduate debt free from the other two.
