I've been doing some pricing for my friend who is going to Orlando in June and notice alot of posts say that the entertainment book can be used at HIFS for 50% off the rack rate. When we pulled up the orlando book for the hotels, HIFS was not listed. Can she definately use the entertainment book for that hotel?

I already requested a pizza party referral for her from Marlene, thank you, and she is going to call and book her ressies but we wanted to be sure about the entertainment rate before we ordered the book.

Thanks!

Yes, they do offer a discount if you are an Entertainment card holder. It does appear to be 50% off because we were quoted a rate of $99.50 per night and the rack rate does appear to be $199 on the HI website for the same nights.

Yes, the Entertainment book CAN get you 50% off rack rates at HIFS, IF the rate is available. Many hotels that accept the Entertainment card don't list in the book, so your best bet is to always ask, never assume. Be aware that some hotels have blackout dates when the card is not accepted, and all hotels have a limited number of rooms set aside for that rate. Being as your friend is going in June, it's possible that that rate is no longer available, but definitely have them call to find out as soon as possible. Also, they don't need the book (or card) in order to make the ressie, just when they check in. So have them call and book it right away if available, then they can buy the book. Good luck!

hi, I would definately have them book the hotel using the rate and lock it in since there are a limited number of rooms that they allow for this rate each night and once its filled it is no longer available. Also, I have seen the entertainment book offered at 10$ on the bidding for travel website- that's an amazing deal!

Thanks she's booked at the HIFS at the entertainment rate of 99.50 a nite. She's excited that she got such a good rate. Thanks guys, everyone here is so helpful.

I recently booked a stay in January and asked if they had an Entertainment Book rate and we got the kid suite for $76.00 a night.

My only question now is since HIFS is not listed in my local book or in the Orlando book but they are accepting it anyways will my own local entertainment card work or do I have to buy the Orlando book? Since we are not going until Jan. I will have to buy a new book either way but would rather have the local one.

No, for the hotel deals you can use any book/ card ;)
