Hidden surprise at Flame Tree BBQ

Last week while on our vacation, my family all wanted to eat at Flame Tree BBQ. At the time, it didn't sound appealing to me. Since I wasn't craving BBQ that day, I opted for the turkey sandwich. I wasn't really excited about that either because I usually take a turkey sandwich to work for lunch so I wanted something different. Even though I wasn't looking forward to eating there, I'm SO glad we did. The turkey sandwich was delicious!!!! It was truly a tasty surprise. The sandwich was huge, large amount of turkey that was very moist, the cranberry mayo mixture on it was yummy, and the bread was delicious and full of flavor. The best part was the sandwich was very filling but wasn't heavy like many other dishes you can eat. It was served with a large piece of honey dew melon which I don't like so they swapped some grapes for it. Since I loved it so much and was surprised by how yummy it was, I thought I'd throw an advertisement out there for the turkey sandwich.

I'm not a huge BBQ fan either, but my DH & DS love it. We've never tried Flame Tree before, but I agreed to give it a whirl this Aug because it's my son's celebration trip. I love turkey and now I'm glad we're going. Thanks for the tip!

I'm a fan of FTB, too, but I love BBQ and their chicken is absolutely delicious. I was surprised at how moist it was and enjoyed the choice of sauces.

Thanks, good to know. We love FTB and have eaten there many times. We have never gotten the turkey sandwich though, so we'll have to try it next time.

I had this sandwich last year and it was really good! I agree that the amount of turkey on it was great and it had just the right amount of mayo.
Definitely recommend it

Flame tree was one of our top 3 CS meals. Delicious! And we loved that the little pavillions where the seating was were somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle. It was a refreshing, quiet, much needed break - and fantastically delicious too!
