Going to Universal/IOA early next year, any hidden, secret things to look for. Like hidden Mickeys at DisneyWorld and or special things to look for while there. Thanks.

At IOA
Entering Seuss Landing from Port of Entry go to the right and look for McElligot's Pool, throw a coin onto the mouth's of the fish and you will get a surprise.

At Universal head over to Curious George and plan on spending a decent amount of time. Make sure you stand under the large bucket and wait to hear the bells.

More , more !!!!! I know there has to be more !
Oh & don't forget the camel sale bargining !! Oh & while we are on the subject>>>>>where is the color-changing paint in marvel ???

Just a few.........

Port of Entry:
After you pass under "The Adventure Begins" bridge listen to the chanting in the hills of the Monastery to the left.
Go into the Coca-Cola Bottling Works and push all the different buttons.
Stop under the second bridge and listen to how it creeks.
Marvel Super Hero Island:
On Spider-man look at the man-hole cover at the end of the ride It say, "Not an Exit."
The Lost Continent:
Go into the Enchanted Oak Tree Tavern and look up at the beautiful glass ceiling.
Go to Dueling Dragons and look for the brass plate in the ground in front of the ride. Stand on or near it and you will see all 3 "near-misses" occur right in front of you.
Seuss Landing:
When you enter SL from TLC go to the right and take Zax's Bypass through SL for a quiet stroll and a view of the beach. Do this after you have gone through the main path through SL.

Color changing paint is on the buildings in MSHI. It is chromium paint usually used on cars.

Is the color changing paint on ALL buildings in MSHI ??
I have been looking for it, but haven't located it yet :(

You really cannot "see" it. It depends on how the sunlight is hitting the buildings.
It is noticable when viewing the buildings from different angles. (ie walking up to and then around a building. The difference is subtle not dramatic.

-on JP river adventure, see if there's still a nametag on the ripped vest the compys (little dinosaurs) are fighting with. originally the joke was to put a nametag on there. eventually one was put there. i dont know if it's still there.
-in the alleyway to doctor doom's fearfall, look at the ground. you'll notice some "splats" in the shapes of humans.
-in the Hulk queue, listen to the audio closely. in the sequence after bruce banner smashes his glasses and turns into the Hulk, Hulk says "Free Hulk. Hulk hate puny Banner. Hulk smacks booty"

Yes, I will second the
ball house in Curious George, my kids spent almost an hour there.

Yes, the nametag on JP river adventure was there in August.

The signage throughout Dudley Do Right is funny. There are also two talking puppets there right before you enter the logs... they tell corny jokes.

MIB numerous stuff... look for the green ooze on the ground near the weapon room. Also listen for the two aliens arguing behind the door as you exit the ride. Look at the supposed aliens on the TV screens... some of the 'celebrities" are a hoot. Also, listen to the aliens in the break room, they are funny!

BTTF, tons to look at. ONce you get in the loading office, first look at whose office you are loaded into.. sometimes its Albert Einstien, sometimes its other famous scientists... Look at all the fake props inside.. one was a travel journal, one was a sketch of the flux capacater, one was a old bottle cap, etc.. lots to look at in each office, and there are many offices.

Each Island has it's own theme music. To get to each Island(by walking) you have to cross over a bridge. Listen to the music from the island that you are leaving grow quieter as you approach the new island and listen to the new island's music music become louder. No two island's music mix/overlap and towards the center of each bridge you will hear a magical tinkling of chimes as if you are magically being transported to the new island. The best example of this is as you leave Jurassic Park entering the Lost Continent.

for those real coaster guys, in the back track of the hulk, their is a tank, which has been distorted by the hulk. Many people don't see this, but you can find it if you look hard.

That no longer works.

Mike
yes it does. i tried it yesterday to mess with some kids. :p

There are sounds of a troll coming from a bridge in back of Mythos in the island look-out.

Next to the armored car in front of the Doom towers, there is a box where you press the button. Upon pressing the button, it plays such things as Iron Man dying and Wolverine going insane.

Read the Family Circus and Mark Trail comics in TL for a funny link between the two.

Read the wall in PoE... "Sooths Sayed while you wait" or "Jurassic Jitterbug Competition" are two examples.

Walk the path down by Me Ship, The Olive for some overseen nuggets.

In Camp Jurrasic, there are foot prints that when you step on them give a very loud (and stratling if you know of them) roar.

Keep it going...

There is a Bomb type thing in Toon Lagoon... its near the Marmaduke.. it says Hush a Bomb..

Push down the Bomb lever, and you hear some coool sounds

i think the fish are picky. i know the fat fish doesnt do anything. the fish closer to the food cart/the cat in the hat exit spits, but i havent thrown a coin in its mouth. i always throw coins into the fish that is facing towards POE. for some reason, when that one spits, so does the one facing the Cat exit...

theres a ton of stuff in PoE. i know theres that one area where you can hear people talkingon the balcony but i havnt listened to it all yet. it is hard to hear. there are lots of funy things scattered around. there is the jail, which has a rope made of bedsheets hanging out the window, with a humourous wanted poster nearby.

this is a great thread btw.

I love walking around Port Of Entry. Take a few pictures of the vehicles, they are so cool! Take a close look at the Reliable Rental sign. So many transportation methods are available. Last time we rented the Time Machine!:p

Make sure you take a peek at the neat shops in this area also.

Thanks eetsoop for reminding me how much I love this area:)
Great thread....more please.
