Has anyone stayed in any of the hidden porthole rooms? if you have have you enjoyed them? what were some good things and bad things(if there were any?) im just wondering, not like im going to be spending all that much time in there but it would be good to know. We are staying in one of the two rooms that connect with each other, so in reality we have two rooms but please describe!

We were in 5520 when we were on the Wonder last October. It was fabulous! This is one of the non-connecting rooms. There were 3 of us in the room.

Since this was our first cruise, I can't comment on anything about having/not having a verahndah. Nor have I ever cruised in an inside cabin.

We loved the location on the ship. There is not a lot of "hall traffic" in this part of the ship, and we found it to be very, very quiet. There also is not another room directly across the hall, again, adding to the "quiet".

The view from 5020 and 5520 are slightly better than the connecting SPH's. From 5520, we estimated the view to be about 15% obstructed. For the price, we just didn't have a problem with an obstructed view.

I hope someday to have the opportunity to sail again on DCL, and I hope to be back right in these rooms.

Yes, the SPH's accomodate 4 people. Our daughter "hung out" in the pull down bunk when she was in the room. Which for us meant all her worldly possesions weren't littered about the whole room. So, even though there were only 3 of us - we still used that bunk.

I have photos of these rooms on my website so you can see the view for yourself. We really enjoy the secret porthole rooms, although I would only stay in the non-connecting ones because it was very noisy when we were in a connector once.
