Hidden Mickey's

I need a little help and know this is the place i could get it. I have always wanted a disney wedding but my fi mom has a problem traveling so we have agreeded to have the wedding in our hometown but honeymoon in disney. Since we both really like disney we are having a cinderrela winterwonderland theme, but here is where i need the help. We have decided that since one of our favorite things to do at disney is look for hidden mickey's that we would love to put that into the wedding some how. So our idea was to put hidden mickey's through the reception hall and while we are getting pictures taken to have the guest go through the hall and try to find them and give the person and kid that finds the most a prize. I need some ideas though on where to put them or how to incorparate them into the reception. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated and THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Your idea to incorporate Hidden Mickey's into your event sounds like fun. I'll let the others offer you their suggestions. I simply wanted to let you know that you can incorporate Hidden Mickey's into your wedding veil and also into your bouquets & boutonnières.

I shared a few photos in another thread the other day, but will share them here too. This is what was done for my FTW vow renewal. It was an intimate touch that only the wedding party saw. I loved that about it.

As you can see in the photos, the stephanotis blooms contained pearls in the shape of Hidden Mickey's. Some brides have used pearls while other brides have used crystals. Heck, I think there was even one bride who used light-up crystals (or something along those lines). What you use is entirely up to you & your florist, but at least consider incorporating this touch into your big day.

The hair pins were from eBay (and were really cheap!) and the sugar cubes were provided by Disney. I was adamant about not having packages of sugar (I was having an afternoon tea reception) and they provided Mickey sugar cubes! I was super impressed! I still have a small jar of them.

Thanks for the info. I will have to start searching ebay for those hairpins and I am definately taking a picture of the Mickey sugarcubes down in May to our planning session. I really want those.

You could make a few floral arrangments in the shape of mickey's. Or incorporate a micky head shape into your centerpeices. Maybe have a few dinner setups in a hidden mickey, like on the Haunted mansion ride. A mickey shaped shadow on a wall somewhere. You could use the hidden mickey crystals in the bouquets that some other brides in some floral instead of floral arrangements in the shape of hidden mickeys. Just some ideas.

wow those tea cubes are awesome!! I am having a "tea by the sea" theme and THOSE WOULD BE PERFECT! I have to call them and see if theres any way I can order them for my favors!
