So, I figure after about a year of lurking that it is time I create an account. Many times I have read posts and learned something new while other times I have read a post and wanted to chime in, but I didn't.. until today!
I have enjoyed learning from the DisBoards, but even more than that I have loved to read trip reports!! It is through these posts that I get my daily dosage of Disney through others. Recently I stumbled upon the KOTS or Keeper of the Secret forum. I can relate to these threads so much!! I love it.
A little about my family and I:
I have been married to my sweetheart, Chance, for a little over 10 years. Together we have two boys, Aidan-10 and Brennan-8. Every year we make a trip from Idaho to California to visit the Mouse. The trips usually involve my DH and both DS's as well as my mother and little brother (who isn't so little any more). Trips in the past have also included my sister and bro-in-law.
This past November we visited California alone, meaning just my three boys and myself. It was our first trip to DL during the Christmas holiday season. It was AH-mazing!! For those of you who haven't had the chance to visit the park during the holidays it is even more magical! We stayed at the Grand Californian and loved it! Most trips are taken in October or February. One of these years we hope to make it to the "World". We are just waiting for the boys to both be big enough to enjoy it all.
We (meaning me.. I am a little OCD when it comes to trip planning) began to plan our trip for this November back in December of '09.. yes about 3 weeks after returning from the parks. I might have to start a Pre-Trip Report thread!
Anyways, I am so thankful for DisBoards and all the knowledge and entertainment it has brought me the past year. If it can offer so much to me as a lurker I am thrilled to see what it will bring me as a member!
I am glad to say that I am now a "newest member" to the site!
I can't wait to get started here on DisBoards!
