Hi, Let Me Know What To Expect.....

I will be in a remote part of Colorado next week. They told me that they do not have high speed, cable access to the internet. However they do have dial-up, and I do have a lap-top. So, will I be able to get on without dc's and get my daily credits? And better yet will I be able to play games? Please let me know what to expect. Thank you all who answer in advance.

On dial up, your connection will be so slow I think you will be very frustrated! You will probably be able to get your daily credits, but I would not count on playing any games

I would not try to play games. I was stuck with dial up during my WDW trip since not all hotels have high speed.

I was able to buy the weekend things and chat a little but it was frustrating so I didn't spend a lot of time in VMK.

I have dial up and I am able to play all the games ok. In fact I prefer to play fireworks on my dial up then on high speed which I have at work. (lol I know I should not be playing at work, I do it on my lunch break only, honest!)
The only problem is if I have not visited a room in a few days the download is pretty slow and the download to get into the game the first time can seem to take forever. Hope it works out for you.

I too have dial up and I can most of the games as well as most with high speed. Fireworks is a challenge but that may be my wireless opt mouse.

I do not expierence any more or less dc's than someone who has a highspeed connection.

Like LadyB said the only difference I find with dial up and high speed is the download time. But once it is downloaded and you do not clear cookies my speed once in the game is about the same as someone on highspeed.

But I do have 768 megs of ram.
