Hi, I'm new

Hi, I'm new to the boards. I have been lurking for a while now and have finally built up the courage to join!! These boards are great and I'm sure I will be back lots picking up tips.

I am going on my 8th trip to Disney World in October. The plan is to spend three nights at Caribbean Beach and then two weeks in a villa at Sunset Lakes.
I have never stayed at Caribbean Beach, has anyone stayed there? what did you think? I have been reading posts that say it is very spread out. I am going with my parents and my Mum has MS so has trouble walking long distances. We will have a car and plan to book a preferred location room. Do you think it may still be to much walking?

hi Victoria and welcome. I have not stayed there, we stayed at the all star movies, but I am sure it will be fantastic. there are lots of buses so your mom should be ok.

Hey...looks like we'll just miss each other! Another thing you can look into is a wheel chair. I believe they are free to rent at the resorts. I could be wrong about this, but they are available if needed.

We stayed at the CBR back in 2000 in the Martinique Building This was a very short stroll to the food court etc so if you can request this one that would be good.

Another warm welcome to the Dis from me

We stayed at All Star Movies and Saratoga Springs Resort in December and I had read all sorts of horror stories about how spread out they were but we found them fine. I haven't been to CBR myself so can't comment on that, but if you've got a preferred location it should be close for you all
