Hope you dont mind the questions... Ive just realised only 26 days till we go and suddenly i am panicking lol

1. I have heard about a Advance/Fast Pass? Is this only available for those who are staying in a suite or can you also buy one somewhere and how much?

2. We are going half board and been told there are a selection of places we can eat.. is it advisable to book somewhere before we travel? or take it as it comes.. Is there a set time to use the half board vouchers??

3. I gather its going to be cold in Paris next month, just like UK? better get some more woolly jumpers for the kids then?

4. Would I need to consider packing an umbrella? or are most rides undercover?

5. Perhaps a hard question to answer but what would you suggest to have available for spending money for a family of 4, with meals already paid for

Thanks for your help :)

We are soooooooooooooo excited here and always looking at xmas pics in Disney, none of us have ever been and cant wait... but me being Mum have to have things organised too lol... :santa: :santa:

Hi,

I can answer a couple of questions. The fastpass is available to anyone and it free, all you do is go to a ride with fastpass and put your park pass in the machine and you will get a ticket printing the time slot the fast pass is for. However there are only a limited amount of fast passes for the whole day & some run out very quickly.

I can't answer about half board as I haven't used it.

I would advise packing for cold as I can't see it getting warmer and take an umbrella or waterproof coat in case it does rain some rides are undercover & some aren't.

Regards to spending money that can vary from person to person. It depends on how long you are going for.

Thanks for your help..

Do you get the fastpass from the hotel?? or when you check in?

Sorry should have said how long Im staying, 4 nights :)

Thanks again

Hi,

You get fastpass tickets at the ride entrance itself. You use your ordinary park entrance tickets to get these. Your park entrance tickets, if you haven't already had them mailed to you, you will get when you check into your hotel. If you've booked a hotel and park ticket package, you'll get your park tickets when you check in.

Personally, I wouldn't take an umbrella (as if you're on an outside ride in the rain, you won't be able to use it anyway - it would fly away!) Take waterproof jackets, or buy ponchos when you get there (very fetching bright yellow :rotfl: ).

there are machines outside the rides offering fastpass. you simply put your ticket in and a fastpass ticket comes out. you can even read a sign beforehad telling you what time will be on the fastpass - in half-hour slots moving in 5 minute increments. on busy days some people queue outside the fastpass lines waiting for their time but if yours is already valid don't wait behind them!!
i prefer not to take much spending money as i'd feel i have to spend it all. i make sure the balance on my credit card is cleared before i go and use that for meals etc. i know i pay 2.5 % but it's just easier and i'm not always panicking and adding money up. evening meals are around 100 euro for us.
i give the kids 30 euro on the last day and let them choose a souvenir.
it will be cold. i'm currenty finishing a load of outfits in wool and silk as the ones disney make are not warm at all. i've got dd cranking out tubes on the knitting machine to turn into hats too. waterproofs are a must but also you can just leg it between rides and they will be quiet with everyone hiding in the restaurants.
indoor queues - buzz lightyear, star wars, peter pan's flight, pirates of the carribbean, its a small world and the haunted mansion if it's quiet.
that's just off the top of my head - the park in paris was designed for rain. most of the rides have canopies.
the fairy tale boats (what's that called??) and casey jr are not ideal in the rain!!

Hi Melodyuk and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.
Personally I'd advise against an umbrella as it will be more of a nuisance. A kagoul or a park poncho will keep any rain at bay :)

See my mind is blank when it comes to planning.... why didnt I think of a Poncho or a waterproof lol..:rolleyes1

Thanks guys

Hi Melody!
Like you we are leaving on our first trip soon, I believe it's 20 days now  ! We also are staying 4 nights 5 days and bought the half board vouchers. I have done a bit of research but like I've said I've never done this before. With the vouchers you order from either a set menu for them or get cash value for them and then you can order what you like just paying the difference. There is however no set time for voucher users to dine. We have called and got reservations at Cafe Mickey's and Hunter's Grill as I've heard it can get busy and I would recommend doing that.
There is a site called DLRP food .com that is good for figuring out what food costs, I've checked that out quite a bit and it's been helpful.
We are going to have a blast and like you, are very excited!
