It is a possibility depending on when. We do mulching and have some jobs coming, but definitely would like to go if I can fit in the schedule. Perhaps we would have some disney magic over all of us and we come home winners.

Welcome to the thread PA DISers!

For anyone who likes amusement parks but doesn't like the high prices, I highly recommend Knoebels in Elysburg, PA (about an hour and 45 min from Allentown). They have free admission, free parking, picnic tables if you want to pack your lunch, lots of trees for shade, great food, and a nice selection of rides (pay one price or buy tickets that never expire and pay as you go). They also have a huge pool w/waterslides and a small mini golf course in the amusement park. It has a much more old fashioned kind of feel to it (much like Dorney used to be I'm told). Did I mention they have yummy and very reasonably priced food?

FYI AC DISER TRIP

Well, I found out that it's scheduled for Saturday, July 25th. Maybe lunch, shopping and/or casino fun. I'll post any additional info as I find out.

So what do you think?:confused3

I love Knoebels too and recommend it to anyone especially families with children at home. There food is very reasonable and you can get good wholesome things as well as the junk. they have a large area for the toddlers, good shows, love the pool. I went often when sons were home. Stepdaughters now, one likes parks the other doesn't. have been trying to encourage to go for a day and we could hang out at the pool and just do a few rides. Will see.

Sounds like fun and a chance to meet some people close here to home.

LOL I had my first date at Knoebels! It was 1986!!!

My dad has a Knobels story too - he lost his high school class ring in the pool there! In 1961!!

Ironically, my kids are at Knoebels today. They are staying at my in-laws' for the week, and they did Dorney on Sunday, Hershey on Wednesday, Knoebels today and Dorney again tomorrow. It's costing me a FORTUNE! I should have looked into season passes just for this week! I could have gone to WDW for what it's costing me in park tickets for them.

Hi. I was referred over here because I was looking for some help with an upcoming Sesame Place trip. Are the character meals worth doing? Is any one better than another? Is it worth it to rent a cabanna? If I don't will I be able to find a shady spot for my friend to relax with her infant? What else do I need to know to make it a great trip? Thanks!

Hi commdoc, welcome to the PA thread! Unfortunatley I've never been to Sesame Place so I can't help you out there.

Anyone?!?!?

I was to Sesame Place when my kids were about 6 and 8, a loooong time ago. Don't really know anyone who has been there lately, sorry. Someone on this board will have answers for you though.

Ok does anyone else see my name - TARAPA - over to the left, in blue?

On this thread I see my name in black - but on another thread that I replied to over on the Budget Board, my name is BLUE. Only mine though, no one else's.

I got really excited there for a minute because I thought it was some sort of a tag. But really I think the humidity is just getting to me...and it's not really blue at all....
