Hi all, throw another log on the fire.....my mom went in the hospital this morning. She hadn't been feeling good and my sister took her at 5:30AM to our local hospital. I guess we will just wait and see. The storm gods are starting to cooperate and now this. One sane week is all I'm asking for. lol

Geez Chuchie - get out of those hospitals! How is your mom today? Is she down this way at LV or St Luke's?

You are the THIRD person this happened to in 2 weeks - my good friend is 30weeks pregnant & was in the waiting room for her DH who was having outpatient hernia surgery - and she went into labor & was admitted! So they both were in the same hospital overnight. Then just this week my boss rushed her DH to the ER at 3am with appendicitis, at the same exact time her DD, away at school in Philly, broke her hand & was in a different ER!

What's the latest word on Hanna? What day will it hit FL? Looks like Ike & Josephine are close behind Hanna - Antss - you might be getting a visit from all 3 for your long trip! Lucky you, having such a long trip. And Robin - lucky you leaving in 15 days. I've got to get my ticker up - but it's 3 whole months away!

Hey Tara, My mom is actually in Hazleton General. That is were her pulmonary doc is. She was admitted and I am going to see her in about an hour. My sis that lives in Nazareth is going to come up and stay in my other sis's house (the one that is going to Disney with me) to be by my mom while we are away. This is crazy, huh.

I thought Hanna's route was up the east coast??? I really haven't heard too much about the other ones out there. What a wild weather time!!

No need to worry.. they all have been down graded to tropical storm... no more hurricane and by next week it will be all sunny and pleasant for Chuchie!!!!!!!!! Wait ???!! What dates ar eyou talking about ????????? I will be there at 10AM at MCO on the 5th of Sept.. which is this Friday!!!!!!!! and flying out Sept. 14th at 8PM On the 13th... I have 4 meets to do EE marathon in the morning.... TOT Reunion at 3PM ... broken kitchen sink meet and then the Solo Cups meet at nite so if you are in the boardwalk area.... you will def'ly see me lounging... even worst you might need to pick me up

I know what you mean about "3 whole months away!" I have a chance for a quick-fix 9/28-10/1....my brother & DSIL want me to meet them. No kids, just us! I don't know. Since I don't drive to PHL airport , we usually use a transport service. That's ok when it's my mom & I. We split the bill. Don't know, don't know!!! The AP rate for POP would be $54/night!!!! SW fares @ $79 each way! Sounds like something you just CANNOT pass up!!! Don't know, don't know!!!

Hey everyone, well we made the decision and our trip is a go . What a day yesterday. My mom is doing fine. Her doc said she has a very bad UTI infection and that she is starting a chest infection. Mom's doc Tom( who is a family friend) said we should go and that mom will be fine. Thank you for asking about her. I really hate hopitals , and it seems like I am spending more and more time in them.
Well pending any delays because of the storms we should be landing in MCO this time tomorrow. Everyone stay out of trouble and have a good week. I have to go and pack.

I didn't talk to Deb, but she did call into work & reported she's feeling good. I don't want to bother her all the time. However, I think I'll call over the weekend & see if I can go visit.

We will be at POR Nov 30-Dec 6! Taking the Auto train down on Thanksgiving day. Planning to do Sea World on 11/28 & 11/29. Then checking into POR 11/30 early in the AM. Heading over to DS to do the new toy story ride. We have an ADR for Mama Melrose that evening! Then we are hoping to see Fantasmic! Hope to see some PA Disers!

Maybe there is some time we could meet. Our trip will be hectic. Arrive Nov. 29th. Staying at FW. Going around and seeing all of the gingerbread houses and eating dinner at Trails End at 5:00. 30th is our Epcot day - doing CP, dinner at Japan at 4:15. 12/1 we have breakfast at Kona Cafe at 8:50, then don't know where we go from there, and Tuesday we head home - flight time is 11:34.

I know Linda (Princess Always) shared with all of you that I had a heart attack. I am 50 years old, and it definitely is a wake-up call. I currently have been putting together some info from my own experience, talking with nurses and doctors and internet info to try to help educate other women on the difference between heart attacks in men and women. As women we always do everything for everyone else, and tend to put our needs on the back burner. I am here to tell you that we all have to try to get a different mind set and put ourselves first. We tend to feel that we are invincible, and I certainly am no different. We need to let others reach out to us and help us, and also be willing to state NO. As I have this info together, I would be happy to share it via email with any of you. Heart attacks can happen to anyone, and at any age. My goal is now to take a more active role and willingness to exercise on a regular basis, no excuses. I am going to start a walking regimen and working on my mind and realizing I am not invincible and to give myself some quiet time each week for reflection and soul searching. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. Reading Linda's one report made me cry, but I pray this can be a learning experience not only for me but for all women in general. Have a great and special day and keep the stress levels down.
