Thank you everyone for the kind words about DH, I often tell him he is enough to make a good women drink. DH is feeling better but I am still keeping a sharp eye in him. I at least know that his heart is in really good shape, so it is just figuring out the rest.

Ants, I didn't even realize you were going to be down there at the same time as us. We are flying in on the 5th on SW what time are you going? We did not rent a car, we are just using mears as we are staying at the Dolphin. We might take you up on that grocery run....if mears does not allow one stop. I can't remember if they do. Do you still have our number? Let me know if you want to meet up for a snack or drink. Maybe princesspat would want to meet with us too.

Terri lucky you staying at the Dolphin, that's my favorite resort, even over AKL! I just love the location, you can't beat walking to Epcot or MGM, and my kids love the Boardwalk at night. That's my 1st choice for my December trip (if it's even happening) but they are sold out one of the nights I need, so I just keep checking every day.

Hey, I am staying at FW from 11/29 to 12/2. We will be in a cabin. This is our first time staying there, but we could all be together in one area and the price was right. I hope your DH gets better soon and will be back to his usual routine. I will get to see DS (the one who works for Disney) in Oct. when he comes home and again at the end of November. What a great bonus. So all of you that have kids back to school, I bet you are glad the routine is back. Summer sure went fast. Have a good evening.

I have requested AB section of POR. You can't miss me with my 6'6" DH and 9yo 5'4" DS. My other DS made it through his first day of K today!

OMG! Now I DO feel stupid!! So you booked your vacation through Dreams Unlimited online? Did they book room & airfare? They even booked your ADRs!!! WOW! Did you give them a list of places where you'd like to eat? I think this is fascinating! It doesn't take much, does it???

Hey Linda, I did book online through Dreams Unlimited this year and last year. I don't think they book airfare anymore, but we did our own since we are visiting family at both ends of our trips. I basically did my homework and figured out where I wanted to eat and on what nights (we have the food plan, so I want my money's worth ) and they made all the ADRS for us. I even requested a carriage ride at POR and our agent will handle that, too. The agent we used was very sweet and helpful, so I requested him again. I had checked prices on my own and it was exactly the same, to the penny!!!

TaraPA, I have never stayed at the Dolphin before, it was my BIL's choice. That is my favorite area also. You just can't beat it, walking in the back door of epcot or simply hanging out at the BW. Oh yeah and only a boat ride to MGM. (or whatever they are calling it these days)

Thanks so much for everyone's wishes for my DH. John is doing better and is back at work. I am hoping they can figure out the reason for the second set of chest pains he had, they said something about spasms but they are not sure where they are coming from or what is causing them. This was after a second cath to make sure the stent put in during the first cath didn't move or close up. Sssooooo this is were we are at.

I am looking forward to a little break. Is it just me or did the summer just fly by I did not get to do most of the stuff I set out to do this summer and I am dreading the "W" season. I hate not being able to sit outside on my front porch in the morning and have my coffee, after all we live in an area were my coffee will freeze on the front porch in January.
I do not think it would be so bad if it wouldn't have got so chilly so early in august. What is up with that. I am definately hoping for indian summer. Okay enough rambling for one night. Talk to you all soon, Terri

Hey to all of you going that 1st week of December - what the HECK is going on down there at that time? I am having a hard time finding a room onsite! I've been there that week for the last 2 years & don't remember it being all that crowded - but I've been calling for 3 days straight & they tell me Shades of Green is about all they have available. No deluxes what-so-ever, even concierge/club level. Swan is sold out too - BUT Dolphin is available all but 1 of the nights I need....so I'm hoping that one day opens up. If not I might have to - gasp - look into the Downtown Disney hotels!

Anyone have an Illuminations Cruise booked for Dec. 3rd by any chance? That is something we always wanted to do, but I always wait too long. I did post on that board, but thought I would check here since it looks like a lot of will be here together.

Anyone have a DISmeet planned?

Unfortunately, it's Pop Warner Days...a cheerleading competition! However, I have been assured on other threads, that as long as you're not in a value resort, you don't even notice that they're around! We'll see! I was told that since Thanksgiving is late this year, it threw the competition into a different time slot.
I'd take what rooms you can get now! You can always change if something opens up later.

Fern, I've never done the Illuminations Cruise, but did go on the Wishes cruise. That was great! If you have the chance to do either one, do it! You'll love it!

I'm staying at SSR. We changed from OKW. I was able to get AP rate w/dining on the internet & saved $250!!! LONGGGGGG story! Couldn't get that code on the phone. They insisted there was no code! I spoke with an agent online while I was looking. She did some investigation & said that the code was good & the cm on the phone should be able to book it for me. Noooooo, couldn't be done. I was online at the same time, so I booked it!!!!
