I went last December with just one son, then in May I went alone, in December I'm heading down with another Disney Freak girlfriend! There are a few of us from this thread meeting up while we're down there. We did that last year too.

well everyone, today i went through my first cardiac rehab exercise program. It is great. You have a portable EKG hooked up to you and they monitor everything you do. I will do it three times a week for the next 12 weeks. I want to do this to strengthen my heart and get myself back to being able to work out regularly. I also plan to add a walking regimen to my weekly routine. Women and heart attacks are so different and I want to try to educate women on this issue. I have typed up some info about heart attacks, and if you are interested in reading any of this send me a private message with an email address and I will glady share the infor with you. I hope to try to educate all women and try to help people realize the risks but also try to take a preventative approach to the road that I took.

Tara, I am not sure where exactly that is, I am not real familiar with the back roads around here. I am from Cape May and moved here abut 7 years ago. I do however know the Yankee candle store. I go in there when ever we go. I will make sure to look for you. I live right off 309, Trumbauersville RD but hope to move sometime in the near furture away from traffic and closer to work!

We are DVC owners and are staying this time at Saratoga Springs for the first time, our home resort. We were at disney last christmas and stayed at AKL and in March at Wilderness. AKL is my favorite DVC so far. We are taking the auto train this time so it should be interesting.

I would love to go to that sale but I work during the times you are working. Have you been to the Yankee outlet in Limerick? I got some good deals there a few months ago.

Stay away from this board for a week or so and I'm wayyy out of the loop. I am so sorry to hear so many of you and your loved ones have been having health issues. I've been battling ear infections, and I feel pretty selfish right about now. I hope everyone is on the mend.

For those who are at or on their way to "the world" - I am officially jealous. My DH and I are getting very anxious to go. Wish we could make a trip down there while we're waiting................lol. I would have loved to join the Girls Only trip, but DH would be wayyyy too jealous.

Looks like everyone is already making plans for their Nov./Dec. trips, but does anyone have a meet set up? I am pretty "scheduled", but I would certainly try to make it if anyone is meeting up.

Tara, you win the prize!! I'm sure we'll be discussing this again before the time arrives! December still seems far away! Would you believe we're STILL thinking about September!! Hopefully we will decide this weekend. The suspense is KILLING me!! To top it off....I got a PIN CODE!!! It's for free dining the dates we would be there. However, you must purchase a park ticket--$75. We have APs. Plus, this close, I don't know if we could get any TS meals to make it worthwhile! Suspense!!!!

School - ugh don't tell me about school!! Our district is going on strike on Monday. Just when I was in a nice routine of getting them up & gone for 8 hours, they will be with me 24/7. I'm one of those mothers that is much better with her kids when she has a nice 8-hour break away from them every day!!

Fern we can meet somelpace else - I get in on the 4th - how about somewhere that night on the Boardwalk? I think that day is EMH evening at AK til 8, and I've never been to AK at night, so I want to do that, then just veg at Epcot or Boardwalk. I forget where everyone is staying...or breakfast on the Boardwalk the 5th?

I hear you about the school issue. I spent the entire summer before my DD left for college and my DS was already in college crying about how lonely I would be with them both gone. That lasted about 3 days and then I realized how peaceful, quiet and CLEAN the house was What was I thinking.

Meeting at the Boardwalk on the 5th works for me. On the 4th we are going to Epcot and then cutting out after dinner in France to do a carriage ride at our hotel POR.

ALong with personal experience, left arm aching, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and a feeling in the center of my chest like after you have had a bout of bronchitis, then getting the lightheaded feeling and sweats and a feeling of indigestion. These can all be classic symptoms for women. Places to obtain some info - where I received a lot is from the university of Health Systems, American Heart association and I first just typed in search heart attacks in women and difference between men and women with heart attacks. There is a wealth of info out there. There also are two types of risk factors inherited or genetic and acquired. Acquired are the factors that are caused by activities that we choose to include in our lives. There are of course the obvious risk factors of high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and family history, some other critical ones are cigarette smokers, women who are under a lot of stress, women who drink more than two alcoholic beverages a day, lead a sedentary life style, women overweight by 30% or more, women who eat a diet high in saturated fat and women with Type II diabetes. Just a few highlights to try and get some info out there. I return to work on Monday. I will miss my daily naps. I get cardiac rehab exercise three times a week and that is going well. It is great to hear about everyone holiday Disney plans. I look forward to my trip more now than ever. Have a good weekend everyone.

There was an e-mail going around at work about a woman who was having a heart attack and her symptoms. If I can find it (and REMEMBER by Monday) I'll let you know and maybe I can e-mail it to Tara and anyone else interested. It was very enlightening. It's too easy to dismiss the symptoms as indigestion or a variety of other things that "will just go away" if we don't think about them.

Sorry to hear about the impending teacher strike. Gray just started preschool 2 mornings a week and I agree that I'm much more patient when I've had a little break from him .

Hey Everyone! We are back from the repo. cruise and had a great time! we did not have time for the world, but we did get to the land for 2 days before the cruise left, it's so cute there!

Glad to hear everyone's out of the hospital and on their way to recovery

DS started middle school this year, so getting away will be even harder , but I'm sure DH will figure something out

If anyone is there the week of 11/30 raise your hand. We are at AKL DVC (concierge I might add cause it's my 60th birthday) starting 11/30 and checking out 12/5. We are staying off grounds the nite of 12/5 and leaving 12/6.
