Hi i'm from P.A.!!!!

Hey welcome lots of new PA-ers! I grew up near Berks Co so we did all our shopping at the Fairgrounds Square Mall. I got married in Reading. Haven't been there in years. I hear there is an Amish farmers market at the end of the mall (not sure if it's inside or outside) that sells the BEST baked goods dirt cheap. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Is the JCPenney Outlet still there? You used to be able to find really cheap things there, like $1-$2.

I was born in Pittsburgh but moved to Indiana when I was in high school. Been here ever since!

I didn't realize you were married in Reading. Where? Yes there is a Farmer's Market at the end of the Fairgrounds Market. There are a lot of Amish merchants, but not all. There is one stand that sells really good milk and ice cream. We get our hamburgers there from one of the stands and go there pretty often. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Yes JC Penney's is still there we don't go there too often. Some of the stuff sold there are like seconds, but bad seconds. We also have the Vanity Fair Outlets where people from all over come to. Hey you go to come back to Reading and experience all Berks County has to offer (not too much), we would love to welcome you to Berks County and get together for a meal.

Ooooh I LOVE the JP Penny outlet! I was there on black friday infact, after we had been to VF outlets for their first midnight maddness.:thumbsup2 I got a NICE bed set there for 18$ last year. I came home and looked it up online and its was 240$ :scared1: I got alot of the girls shorts there last year too, they didn't have much of a selection of shirts plus I'm way pickey I hate huge prints and collars and alot of other things :rolleyes1 I wanted to stop over last weekend when we were down but they kids had enough shopping (are they mine? :confused3 ) and wanted to go home :sad1:

Hi I'm from the other end of the state anyone from Elk CO? But my husband is from coatsville so he's a Eagles fan in the middle of Steelers country. poor him :happytv:

Just found this too! I am formally from Reading. I would read through the posts to find out if anyone else is from that area but there are too many! Anyone else from the Reading area?

Heu, currently live in Temple, but was raised in Shillington and then moved to West Lawn area and ending up here in Temple. What part of this area were you from.

We are in the Harrisburg PA area. Born and raised here. Anyone near Colonial Park Mall in Harrisburg PA?

I'm in York. Have also lived in the Allentown area and Lancaster! Lots of PA folks on this board :)

Wow! A lot of new people have found us!
Welcome!

I'm in Schwenksville....kind of between King Of Prussia and Reading.

I grew up in Laureldale and my parents and in-laws still live there. I love hearing everyone talk about Fairgrounds Mall and the VF Outlets. I used to work at both. Berkshire Mall too. My DD14 and I make a trip back every summer. Except this next one unfortunatly. We love Iowa cause it isn't as congested but in addition to my family there is alot I miss about home. Schell's, V&S, and Tasykakes are the top three!
Thanks to all who responded. I couldn't quote you all unfortunatly! Sure good to hear from people back home. I do get homesick sometimes and this helps ease that!

Hello from Chester County.

Me.

Fleetwood Schools. Do all my errands and shopping in the Wyomissing area, though. Remember the Fairgrounds mall area? It is such a dump anymore, that whole area (I hope I'm not offending anyone....I've just had some recent bad experiences.)

How is Iowa working for you?

I agree about the Fairgrounds Mall! It just went steadily downhill! Have you looked at the new mall area behind Best Buy??? Expensive, but beautiful clothing!
