Shenandoah is my home town I grad SV 96 I met another person from Shenadoah on here too, Her name was Helene yes TWO Helene's from Shenadoah, what are the chances of that??

No, tell me you do NOT wear short sleeves in winter!!! I'm always cold & that freaks me out! Just ask "tiggerfan4me"!! Don't know where they got this snow. I do know they can keep it!

Nope walmart in tamaqua... I must admit this.. I hate shoes! Hate em hate em hate em! In the summer I go shoeless as MUCH as I can.. So flipflops are my "winter" shoes and No I dont wear socks with them... lol

I think tomorrow temps drop again, but one good thing is that today was the day the trend in temps. starts to go up. SO far we can't complain about winter or heating bills.

I'm also from Berks....Fleetwood area. Boring? Oh yea, BUT what I like about it here is that it's easy to leave. Within 2 hours I can be in Philly or New York City. Not much to do in my backyard, but there's nothing we can't do just by getting in the car and driving. This occurred to me just recently, that we really take for granted the fact that a lot of people don't have access to the ocean, ski slopes, and major cities by car like we do.

I'm not correcting you or anything, because on the surface it sure seems to be a boring place. It's just that....it could be a lot worse!

Who the heck said their heating bills weren't high this winter - holy crud my December gas bill was $400! And I know Jan. & Feb. will just be worse. Last year Feb. was $655!!!! I should just become a snowbird & head south for these 3 months...

Our heating bill was astronomical too! These high gas prices are killing us! EVERYTHING is more expensive!

I am actually from NJ but we are thinking of moving to PA in the Bethlehem Twp area. We haven't seriously looked (we have driven around and looked at houses on line).

Does anyone know about the school system there (we have a 10 yr old)? Or any other info to share?

We need to stay close to NJ for work in Bridgewater.

Welcome FormrCastMbr! I live just 5 miles south of Bethlehem Twsp, in Lower Saucon/Hellertown. It's a very nice area. Very close to I78 so you can commute to Bridgewater. We're not in that school district, we're in Saucon Valley, but we play them in sports. I think there are a few Bethlehem people around this thread that could give you info on the schools....hey where are you Bethlehem guys????
