DelSandro (spelling) IMHO the best Cheese Steak place in Philly used to be on Henry I heard it was sold & is no longer there.

Dalesandro's is still there, it may be different owners DOn't know. I am orginally from South Philly. Best cheesesteaks are Geno's!

& if you are from South Philly, can you make meat balls & gravy? That's what I am doing tomorrow for a party we are having next weekend. My friend asked me to make up about 15 pounds of meatballs and 5 pounds of hot sausage. It funny, when I go somewhere, even in NE Philly and ask for extra gravy with my Capellini they think I want brown gravy.
I have to admit that I have eaten a few Geno's Cheese Steaks in my life, but I think Dalesandro's were great.

I'm Italian, I'm originally from South Philly of course I can make gravy. The first time I met my in-laws when DH and I started dating I said something about making macaroni and gravy and they looked at me like I had 3 heads Definitely let me know the results if you go. They always have a crowd in there!

Janet - I get the same results when I talk about it to this day. Actually I am polish, but learned to make gravy and meatballs from my girlfriend's Grandmom D. I love the recipe. It includes a shot glass of milk, a shot glass of olive oil. It was the first time I had ever seen a recipe using shot glasses as measurement tools. LOL

I will be sure to post and let you know what it was like. This will be our first time staying on property for our entire stay. We usually stay at hotel grandmom and pop-pop (as they live in Kissimmee). But we figured with the kids being 8 -DS and almost 5-DD it was time to "do Disney right". So a full week at POP it is with ME and no rental car. Only disney transport. We are meeting my family (there will be 10 of us) for dinner at Chef Mickey's one night so the kids get to see their uncles, aunt,cousin and grandparents. I am so excited. I just made a binder with our entire itinerary and ADR's and our custom maps and flight info and reservation info all seperated by each day of our trip. Oh just stop me, I can't stand the wait!!! I am gonna be doing the happy dance so long my legs will be too tired to walk through WDW. LOL

I'm not going either. Some friends and myself and DD were supposed to go in Dec. 2007. Then she had to get pregnant. Now we're trying to plan for Dec. 2008 when the baby will be about 13 1/2 months old
