Hey all you locals - today starts the HUGE semi-annual sale - dirt cheap things - large jars 2/$25, medium 2/$20...other jars $5 and $7.....votives & tarts $1...accessories starting at $1....but shop as soon as you can, the good stuff will be gone by Monday! I work 8:30-3:30 today & 5-9:30 on Saturday if anyone wants to stop in & say hello! That's Yankee Candle in The Promenade, not the one up at the mall!

Tiggerfan4me: No, we haven't been to SoG yet. This will be our first trip to the resort and it will be our DS's first trip to WDW since 1990. I read somewhere that it is possible I might be able to book rooms at SoG in January and September since I am a veteran but I'm not sure. If that's the case, my DW and I might be able to return some day without our Navy DS.

I'll be anxious to hear about your trip. Next year when DS plans to go to Disney, perhaps the rest of us will book a trip at the same time. Don't know if we would stay at SoG with DS or get other DS employee of Disney to get us a room somewhere and just hook up. Military son is anxious for Harry Potter to open at Universal so he can do both parks on his Florida visit. If you haven't been to Disney since 1990 you certainly will see many changes. Enjoy.

HeyMiJO what have you been hearing about the Sands resort in Bethlehem? Might try it sometime. We like to go to Delaware Park on occasions, usually when they give us $25.00 then we only put in 20 of our own money. The last time I was to Bethlehem was a couple of years ago for MusicFest.

I live 10 min. from Sands & haven't been there yet! My neighbor is the president, Bob DiSalvio, and he hasn't been home much lately, I can tell you that!

From the feedback I've seen & gotten, it's packed, but not as high-class a joint as they hoped for. A co-worker went late one night & said they left, they were scared from the clientele in there at that late hour! She said they were also bussing in hundreds of people from NYC.

On the other hand, we tried to get a reservation for Emerils & they were booked solid for 12 days out. So there's some serious cash being spent in the restaraunts!

I live in WI but my dad, sister and I just got back from Philadelphia. I had never been there before but I had a lot of fun! We were only there a couple days but we were able to visit Independence Hall and some of the other historical sites and we attended the Phillies game Friday night.

She comes back Tuesday, but has the whole week off of work. Lucky duck. It definitely is nice to get away from work.

NO I didn't talk to her. It is always so busy when she is on vacation with her nieces and enjoying them and family time.

Small world. I'm off of Flint Hill Rd near the Hellertown end if you know where that is. I spent about 4 days a week at Yankee & some weekends too - I always have a name tag on - Tara - come up & introduce yourself! There is an awesome clearance sale going on now if you need anything.

We had a wonderful family vacation! However, it was much too short. One of these times, I'd like to stay for 7 nights! And after going with Deb in March, it was definitely quite different! Family vacations are wonderful & I love spending time with my brother & his family, but a girls' vacation.....there is just nothing else like it!!!! It made me think more seriously about a November birthday trip!!!!
I'll post a few more pics later tonight. I have the "back home" work to get done!
