Our weather forecast is calling for "chance" of rain or snow. I'm trying to be optimistic & looking for rain! NO MORE SNOW!!! On Wed & Thurs, I work until 4:30pm. I'll be available anytime after that! Deb is usually done at 4:30 also, but I'll check with her about it.

That is correct, I work till 4:30-5:00 can work till either, just plan ahead is what I need to do. Hampton Inn is right aside of our work. Perhaps we could take our lunch time and come over to see you. We could bring you something for lunch if you can have time to eat it, or we could just pop in and say hi. I am flexible. Hope you had a good valentines day.

I'm SO glad you guys stopped in at lunch yesterday. We were up at 4am today & got it all done by 3-ish this afternoon, so we all headed home. Sorry it didn't work out for us for dinner tonight. I was (am) so exhausted I could cry. I'm not feeling spunky today Deb!

It was so nice to see you again Linda, and to finally meet you Deb! They're short-staffed at that new store (anyone looking for PT work?!?!) so I might be down for a shift or 2 in the next month. We will definitely grab something to eat if that's the case!

I wish I would have gotten someone to take our picture - it was a DIS-Meet - even though it was only 10 minutes!

OMG - a local story has made national TV! Last January there was a murder in a church right down the road from me - it went unsolved for almost a year. Here a church member killed the church secretary because she thought the pastor was paying too much attention to the secretary. This church member had romantic feelings for the pastor. She was convicted of the murder (and is a person of interest in her own father's disappearance) but claims she is innocent. My good friend is the one who found the body, how devastating. My friend's daughter emailed me to watch tonight, but I don't know if my friend will be on or not.

Anyone local follow ths story? I have no idea why this is on Dateline - did something new pop up? Dateline is usually very factual & fair, so I'm not sure how they are going to spin this, or whose side they are covering. I knwo I will be glued to the TV. The segment is called Deadly Sanctuary. Creepy!

Yankee corporate policy is age 18 and up - BUT some locations allow age 17. I know they were taking applications & interviewing today. If she's interested let me know first, I can make some calls.

One of the reasons for the age restriction is because of some liabilty issue with using a trash compactor - has anyone ever heard of something like that? Seems silly to me, but then again, a lot of laws seem silly to me!

Hey Tara! It was great to see you even for a short time! It sounds like they worked you poor ladies to death for that store! Good thing is that it's done. I figured you'd be working late. If we don't see you there, we'll just have to plan a Meet at Disney!! Did your coworkers think we were crazy???? Hope you're feeling more "spunky" today. Our mailman was funny when he came to our office on Thursday. Of course he mentioned that he saw us there. His big news was that Yankee Candle will be opening on Saturday. He's a nice guy.

I remember that murder story. However, last night I didn't watch Dateline. So, did they discover anything new?

Ok I'm having a pity party for myself. DH gets a call this morning, could he fly to Orlando next week for 4 days to run a work event - someone else backed out - they've got a room booked at The Swan. Normally I'd be dusting off my tickets, cashing in FF miles & getting kid & work coverage to go along but he's having surgery today & can't travel for 2 weeks! ARGH! What a great missed opportunity!

Tigger/Deb - got your cell message, I left a message for the Asst Manager down there to see if she's hiring. I will get back to you as soon as I hear. The store manager they hired for down there quit already...so everything's turned upside down!

Thanks I appreciate your help. Stepdaughter said she would definitely like to work there if they are hiring. She is about 17 1/2 and turns 18 in Sept. Thanks for checking into this for me.

She said she thinks they're done hiring for the moment but would love to have her app on file, there's a big turnover in retail. The store just opened on Friday night & they've had 2 people quit already - so anything's possible!

There's some info I will give you as well if she fills out an app, we get (or used to anyway) a small bonus for referring new employees.

Thanks for the well wishes Jess - we are home, DH is jacked up on Vicodan & asleep at the moment. It's his 4th surgery in 7 months so we're old pros at this now!

My goodness Tara!! That's quite a few surgeries in 7 months! Hope his recovery is quick!
