Hello everyone! My name is Brittany and I'm momma to two beautiful kiddos ages two and four. I am considering taking a small family trip to Disney World during early December. I am looking forward to getting to know new people and pick up some advice along the way :)

you have come to the best place for information and advice as there are so many options available it can be quite overwhelming.::yes::

however when we first visited-we were the total opposite-

the only "planning" we did was book the vacation package,flights, tickets and car hire. we arrived at magical kingdom-and it was amazing-all our reactions and the many wonders we discovered during our whole stay-with our heads buried in park maps!

needless to say-we have returned 9 more times-and discovered the joy of planning ahead and the dis! :goodvibes:goodvibes

I am having moments of being overwhelmed. At the moment I am trying to check out past posts to see if I can get most of the info I need. But I am learning how clueless I was when I first thought of this trip lol

just decide one thing at a time- :)

there are wonderful forums on the dis which cover everything

these are our first considerations:

transportation-
fly?, airport transfer? car hire? wdw buses? wdw boats?

accommodation-
onsite-value?mod?deluxe? offsite- hotel? villa?condo?-
do you want a kitchen? laundry? separate rooms? bathrooms? lots to consider here!

tickets-
how many days? hoppers or not? depends how you will spend your days.

meals-
if onsite ddp or not? what level? where will you eat and what to eat?

stroller-
take your own? hire at park? hire from another company?

just have a list-i like good old pen and paper but i know many use spreadsheets-and tick off as you go-;)

try not to be too daunted and enjoy the planning process-it's actually part of the fun! :cool1::cool1:
 
Welcome....I am new to DISboards over the last month or so as well. I am planning my first Disney Vacation for myself, DW, DD 8, DS 6 and my parents. I have found this board to be very helpful with TONS of information. November 2013 can't come soon enough.:joker:
