Brian -DH (39) Shares my love of Disney and works very hard all year to fund our obsession - Doesn't do rollercoasters and not fond of flying but loves BTM.

Molly -DD (7) Collects pins and cuddlies. Always has a soft toy under her arm. Loves Star Tours and Phantom Manor

Lewis- DS (5) The whirlwind of the family. Loves Pirates and BTM - cant wait to go on Crush

Granny - Kids love their Granny to come with us and we have a built in babysitter

Granda - Great for taking the kids swimming and he comes on the coasters with me

Auntie Rosie - Rosie is my Auntie and has never been abroad before.

Well already it was our last day. We woke about 8.30am and went down to breakfast. The hotel was very busy this morning and a bit chaotic. I left the kids playing with DH and went back to the room to finish packing lol. I went via reception just to ask if any of the cases that were still missing had turned up and low and behold one had - my auntie Rosies. The smile on her face to see it again was a fantastic sight although 7 days too late. Checked our luggage into the Explorers lockers and left Granny,Granda and Rosie in the hotel while we popped into WDS.

First stop was Cars and Flying carpets then we went over to The Art of Animation

We then had a good look through the shops and went for lunch in Studio 1 which was hamburger and chips which is one thing I wont miss :lmao: By this time is was 1.30 and we had to make that painful last shuttle bus back to the hotel. We grabbed a coffee and the kids ran about until BS transport picked us up at 3pm to take us back to the airport.

Arrived at the airport to meet a huge queue as some BA machinery had brocken down :scared1: We waited and waited and eventually after being shifted about we got checked in. DH tried to speak to someone at BA about the two cases that were still missing but was told to speak to Heathrow. Boarded and the flight was uneventful although the prospect of DH squaring up to a BA member of staff was filling me with dread

We landed at Heathrow and the first desk DH went to the man behind the desk said it was not his job blah blah blah and he was so rude my dad lost his temper a bit :rolleyes1 . Dragged them away and did our terminal transfer as we were short of time but when we arrived at regional departures our flight back up to Aberdeen was delayed 2 hours. Off DH went to the girl sitting behind the BA desk but wont bore you with the details. The matter was not resolved anyway. We got back into Aberdeen just before and had to fill in the missing baggage claims and headed off on our 60 minute drive home.

On a whole the holiday was spoilt by not having our cases but it did go to show me I pack way too much anyway :lmao:

Highlights

The Cars ride
The new parade
The kids dancing with Mickey at cafe Mickey
The Lucky Nugget Saloon

Lows

No luggage
The crush for Crush Coaster
the queue jumpers

As for the missing cases they were both found. One was destroyed by BA as it had glass smashed in it. The second was returned a week ago to my mum. Everything in it was wet and mouldy - I think it sat out on the runway for 2 weeks. BA has refunded us all our out of pocket expenses and have compensated my mum for her ruined clothes. They have also given us a very generous voucher for flights which will more than help out with our flights to WDW next year (hopefully) - amazing what you can get done when you get Willie Walshs' email address :lmao: :lmao:

Heres to the next trip ;) :rolleyes1

Jackie, I am so glad you managed to enjoy your holiday inspite of your missing cases. Great result in the BA voucher although I am very disappointed that I never got to see a photo of you all in your lime green socks. ;) :rotfl:

Just trying to squeeze one more trip out of the annual passes ;)

Trying to catch up on some of the trippies I've missed and I thought I'd start with yours Jackie. What a bunch of troopers you all are ! You had such a nice time despite the missing suitcases, good to hear that the recompence will go to a good cause i.e. another Disney fix.
Lovely report despite your mishap and some great photos, I'm so glad you didn't let it ruin your holiday. :goodvibes

Finally finished reading your report. I'm glad BA have resolved the problem of the lost cases.

Sounds like you managed to have a good time even with the luggage problems:thumbsup2
