My plane landed early, before 9AM, and I used ME. I was at the BC lobby before 10;30, and in my room by 11:30! It may not have been my original assigned room the CM who checked me in said she would look for a room that was being serviced, and I would receive a call when it was done. I'm a p/t professor and brought papers to correct, so, I headed to the common area in the villas (the BC common areas were very noisy with power tool being used to spruce the place up). The message came before I was finished, my DSis had't gotten there yet, so I just finished what I was doing before I went to the room. DSis and I freshened up, we then went to Epcot to enjoy the F&W offerings. Our favorites were the Irish Fisherman's stew, a Greek toasted cheese with pistachios, the lamb chop from Australia, and the Belgium waffle with berries, although we really enjoyed everything else as well, the cheese soup, cheese fondue, escargot, and baklava. DSis & I hadn't made it to the countries in September so we went to 3 of our favorite shows, Canada, China and America. DSis was traveling to Jacksonville afterwards, so we were back in our room at 4... She left just before 5, and DH arrived at 5:30. His plane arrived at 4, so ME worked fine for the 3 of us. DH had the bags, and ME delivered them by 8... All went well.

Cape May Cafe was able to change our 7:55 ADR to something after 6 (Thank you!). Disney dining had not been able to help, so we showed up and asked. (DH 's original arrival time was 5:30 at MCO).

We have a 1 PM culinary demo today and intend to enjoy the food kiosks for lunch and Captain's Grill for dinner. DH hasn't eaten there, I've always enjoyed my meals there. Eventually, I hope to get into SAB! The Florida family comes after school tomorrow, we want to stay here, enjoy the pool, and finally meet them and DSis at SSR where we have a THV for 3 night's.:goodvibes

Last night's movie was Spooky Buddies, but we were too tired to stay up! DH is still sleeping, i'm enjoying the WIfi!

If I can answer any questions, I'll be happy to. We have a Wishes Dessert Party on Saturday. We're not going to MNSSHP this weekend, I thought the prices were just too high. (besides, DSis and I went to one in September:goodvibes with some DGFs!!)

Hi, Bobbi:

Sounds like you're enjoying BCV...hope THV leg is just as good!

Question about the wifi: is the wired internet access still an option? I would guess it's still there, but does it still work? My laptop is sometimes a bit wonky about wireless and it'd be great if I could use the ethernet cable as a back-up option if my laptop "misbehaves" w/the wireless! We'll be at BCV next month...

Thanks, and continue to have a great time...

Bobbi, I'm anxious to hear your assessment of THV. I have always thought they look like a good option for when we can talk our family into coming next time. It might be tricky though, since we don't own at SSR.

The Ethernet cable is still in the closet, but I have an iPad and don't know how to use the cable.

Diane, this three night THV stay was booked with other than SSR points at 7 months. We booked SSR two bedroom with the hope of getting the treehouse so that my DSis could join us. The wait list came through in less than two weeks. We will have 5 adults and 3 children. The 3 children "camp out" in the bunk bed room. So that leaves the living room for DSis to use.

Hope you enjoy the Tree houses. My 4 grandsons all choose to squeeze into the bunk bed room and make it theirs. We stayed there for 3 nights before a cruise last June.I like the Tree houses for 3 or 4 days but don't think I would ever stay for a full week, I would miss the convenienience of the resorts. But it sure is fun for the grand kids. Enjoy your vacation.:cloud9:

Hey Bobbi,

How many of you will be in the THV? I'm hoping to change at the 7 month mark from OKW, I'll have 3 adults, four 15 year old boys and an 11 year old girl. Would appreciate your insight.

Have fun with the family!

Could you tell me if they sell cheese sticks in the marketplace?

Fried? String cheese? We're heading to SAB in a few minutes, I'll check.

We went to a culinary demo by Sally James...yummy!

We'll have 5 adults, 3 children. Kids are 6, 7 and 8! The 3 kids will camp out in the bunk bed room. 2 couples each have a queen bed bedroom and DSis will have the living room.

I am not sure how you would mix your group. The living room has a place for 3, not 4. How do you usually spread out?

Bobbi -

It sounds like you are having a wonderful time. I hope things continue to go well. Have fun with the family!

Hi Bobbi!
Have a good trip! What kind of view do you have? Enjoy your dinner-have an Oreo bon-bon for me-I especially love the desserts there! And you might want to try that apple/walnut/blue cheese salad. That's the one that I loved, but Guy wanted to spit out when he tried it (he hates blue cheese and didn't expect it). For a quiet time, great for correcting papers or just resting, I love the Solarium.

Have fun! We've only been home from BCV for 3 weeks and I'm ready to go back again!

Definitely interested to hear your thoughts on the THV's. We have an upcoming stay in January and love to hear reports from other DVC members.:goodvibes

Just regular cheese sticks! They are a huge part of my toddler's diet.

There are no cheese sticks. There are packages of individual slices of Velveeta and kraft American. Then there are chunks of cheddar, Colby, Gouda and havarti.

Sounds like you have an awesome trip planned! :goodvibes. I'm looking forward to hearing more about it. Have a wonderful time!

I almost forgot, Bobbi, is one elevator still kind of funky? When we were there, one of the elevators (the one on the left as you face the elevators) was SUPER slow on opening and closing the doors. It was a joke among anyone using that elevator that it had a mind of its own, or needed its morning coffee, etc. And did they put the floor marker-needle thingies back above the elevators? When we were there, the markers were gone, so while you were waiting for an elevator, you had to guess which floor it was on.
