DSis was supposed to come, but family obligations are keeping her in NJ.:sad1:

ME went well, room was ready at check in, around 2:30. We're on the 1 st floor, at the end of the hall, well there is a dedicated 2 bedroom next to us, so not the absolute LAST villa!:rotfl: we are facing the canal, not the road.:) We have a studio.

The GARDENIAS are in bloom and smell heavenly. I'm here for the flower show mostly, but went to DHS today just for AIE and the animation class. We drew Flynn Ryder, (his nose might be right, but his eyes aren't!:lmao:)

WIFI has been fine. The clock wasn't on the correct time, I called & engineering fixed it. Now the bathroom sink doesn't drain, I'm waiting for engineering to come...it had been working fine, but the metal plug won't go up now.

Walked up to the Captain's Grille and they sat me, and had delicious crab cakes. I do like that restaurant.

I have a friend who's family connections enable her to fly standby on USAir. Yesterday, I asked her if she would like to join me, & it worked out. So we'll be enjoying F&G and this lovely resort together!

Is anyone else looking forward to hearing songs from The Turtles this weekend?

Bobbi:goodvibes

We arrive Sunday eve and might get to see the Turtles depending on how on-time our flight is. Your villa sounds beautiful! How long are you there for?

Hi, just curious... Do you have cable tv in your room? We are here too and it seems our room has "no signal". The front desk is telling me it is the whole resort....

We're leaving on Monday. I do have a latish flight out on Monday, would love to say hi!

I do have stations on TV that are not just Disney channels. Ichannels 25, 26, 27 for instance. Didn't try any more.

Thanks Bobbi, I guess I was just lied to then by the front desk. I was told the whole resort was out. I am a mad now. I don't mind if there is truly a problem, but don't lie. I will be taking this up with them in the morning!!!

Enjoy your vacation!!!:)

Can you guys do me a huge favor? Could you please ask the staff at SAB when the official day is that the entire pool will be filled and functioning again? I have heard from a very good source that it is April 28th and we'll be there on the 29th! Thanks so much :).

Have a fantastic time!! :goodvibes One of these days I'll have to try and make the Flower Show.

It opened two days ago. Everything is open!!!! Yay!

27yo dd and i are flying in early sunday (BWVs 4/22-5/1) and plan to catch the turtles (hmmm, that sounds kinda funny;)) at EPCOT. we're looking foward to 3 dog night next weekend also (hopefully, they'll play joy to the world aka jeremiah was a bullfrog:dancer:).
i always have a tan bagallini backpack with a LG mickey head luggage tag hanging from it at the parks....would love to say "hi"
btw, we'll be at EPCOT tues night for john's OL get together.

hope you're having a fabulous time:)

Bobbi - So glad your friend could join you at the last minute! I love the Turtles and wish I could get away for a spring trip. Alas, I must finish my semester. I think I am more ready than the students for it to be over!!

LSchrow - When we saw 3 dog night at Epcot, they definitely played "Joy to the World". It was the only song my sister knew.

I am so excited to be staying at BCV for the first time in August. Wish I was there right now though. Enjoy your weekend Bobbi :)

I just made my reservations for March 2013 -- 5 days at BCV followed by a 4-day cruise on the DCL Dream!

We stayed at BCV last April 2011 and had the best vacation. My son STILL talks about it. This past November, we spent a few days at BWV and it just wasn't the same. One evening we took the boat over and walked around BCV, longing to BE there. When it came time to make this reservation, I asked my son where he wanted to stay and he immediately screamed "BEACH CLUB!"

Hi there, just swooping in to wish you an amazing vacation and a wonderful time and Flower and Garden. We were there last May at BCV for F&G and had the best time. I'm completely envious. Have extra fun for me!!

Sounds like us! After 2 stays at BCV, we stayed at BWV at the end of August last year and my kids were bored with the pool after 2 hours. When they saw the BCV ship across the way, my daughter said "Dad, there's that fun pool, let's go over there to swim!" They didn't understand that we couldn't, they were really upset. We even tried to switch resorts for 1-2 days but there was nothing available. I liked BWV b/c I would rather be in the Epcot area than anywhere, but did not care for the pool at all. We returned to BCV in November and both my daughters keep asking when we're going back.

We have stayed at 3 other DVC locations, and each time we find ourselves longing for BCV.

I felt the same way -- BWV bored me. I couldn't quite put my finger on why -- it's a lovely resort and the clown slide is fun. Not sure....perhaps I would have felt differently if we stayed at BWV prior to BCV. My only "complaint" about BCV is that I wish there were more quick service options on site without having to go into Epcot. Although....we really enjoyed lunch at Hurricane Hannah's just about every day.
:thumbsup2

We actually found Beaches and Cream to be a great option for burgers, sandwiches, etc...but I agree that there could be another quick service. All told, if that's the only downside I'll take it!

How are the crowds...???

We just checked out after being there for a week. The crowds were not bad at all. We were in the parks early and stayed all day most days. We used fast passes, but found most wait times to be very short (20min), considering...

Our room was spotless, but we had no tv reception until Thursday. They had issues with there satellite/cable... But our issue was the tv itself. After their issues were fixed and ours wasn't, they switched out our tv for a new one.

The pool was awesome!!! My kids really enjoyed it. But requested to swim at the quiet pool too. I think they were just happy to be swimming...

All in all we had a great trip. So happy that SAB is open earlier than expected for all you folks who ate visiting soon.

ITA!::yes::

We were at BWV in February and it just did not feel very Disney-ish to me? I loved the decor and our Boardwalk View Studio was nice enough....but I did not care for the layout of the resort and the overall "vibe" was just ho-hum. So many of the guests in the area were convention-goers....dressed in business attire...schlepping back and forth from their conventions/meetings.
Maybe it's just me, but when I'm at my Happy Place, I prefer to be around others that feel the same!:goodvibes

Thankfully we took some time to go and visit the Beach Club - and I just fell in love! Unlike BWV, the atmosphere of the BC/YC/BCV resort was exciting and relaxing at the same time......Lots of families enjoying themselves!....Much more Disney-ish!:earboy2:
