I am not new to the Disboards, but I am new to the Disney for Adults and Solo Travelers forum :) Since I am an adult and since I like to go to the theme parks by myself, I figured that I would fit right in here :) Also someone who likes my photos told me about how adults post about photos that they had taken with characters over here, so when I heard that I figured that I would come over here and check this place out :goodvibes

Here are some photos that I had taken with Suzy and Perla :cloud9: Suzy and Perla are 2 female mice from Cinderelly :cloud9:

This photo shows that I am an adult who is still a child :cloud9:

I have posted this photo many times before and now it's time for me to post it again :goodvibes I call it the kissing photo :cloud9:

I am so glad that I came over to the Disney for Adults and Solo Travelers forum :goodvibes :)

Nice to meet you. I am fairly new to this section of the forum as well. So, how much do you enjoy your solo trips to WDW? I would like to go next year and considering that none of my friends are showing interest in going, I am curious to go solo this time but not sure if I will enjoy it by myself.

NJGuy3,

Welcome to the Adults/Solo board!

You'll love going solo!! You get to do what you want, when you want. You can go to whatever park you want to whenever you want to. You can go on an attraction 10 times if you want or skip it all together. You can dine where and when you want. It's a trip that's all about YOU and your only concern is if YOU are having a good time.

I've been on 4 solo trips. Although I love going with family, I love going solo too. It just gives you the freedom to do things at your pace and on your schedule.

Coming and going wherever and whenever was never an issue with the friends and family I spent the last two trips to WDW with. We always agreed on it all and I led the way! lol
I think the only issue I'll have going solo will be dining alone.
Thanks for the feedback and motivation, hearing other's solo trip experiences keeps me moving one step closer to doing my first solo trip next year.

Thats my problem too.
I was supposed to go to disney in may with a friend and its not looking like that is going to happen..
I dont think ill want to go alone so i guess well see what happens.
i like going with someone ,,its more fun that way to me!

Blueeyes...I do agree with you, it is more fun with others or at least one other person. But there is a first time for eveything! Who knows...from now until next year...anything can happen and I have plenty of time to try to talk some freinds into it or I'll just go find some new ones that would like to go! lol

I am very happily married to a Disney nut. When you share a love for Disney it is so special. The Op looks very cute maybe you should plan your trip with him. :goodvibes

I went by myself once when my friend bailed on me. I had a great time because I could do what I wanted, when I wanted. I did have a bit of a hangup with eating at table service restaurants though. The only one I went to was SciFi dine in. If I went by myself again, I don't think I would have as much of a hangup about it though. Just bring a book and people watch.

It has been a long time since I started this thread, and I wanted to  you all in this thread    I also want to thanks everyone who said kind words about my photos :flower3:  :goodvibes

I really enjoy going to DisneyWorld by myself :goodvibes I know that some people would want to have someone with them when they go to Disney, but I have more fun by my cute little self :cloud9: I like to be able to go anywhere I want to in the parks and since I am by myself it is very easy to do that :goodvibes Also I am 6 foot 3 and most people are shorter than me, so since I am by myself I can walk very walk and not have to worry about someone else keeping up with me :p :p :p

It's great that some people like to go to the Disney parks by themselves :goodvibes It's also great that some people like to have others with them when they go to the Disney parks :goodvibes We are all different and I say whatever makes someone happy :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hi, FlowersChild!

I also like to travel alone for the same reasons that other posters have mentioned. While it would be nice to have someone (preferably female) with whom to share the magic, I recognize that I am what the sociologists call a "solitary lion" and believe that if I waited for someone to go with me, I would never leave home. I have no problems eating alone at any restaurant (except maybe Victoria and Albert's in the Grand Floridian) and ate my meals alone on last year's MouseFest cruise on the Disney Wonder. I have been to Walt Disney World seven times (see my signature) and to Disneyland in California once (in 1998 with my mom, aunt, uncle and two cousins).

NJGuy3, lots of solos go every year during early December for MouseFest. There are plenty of people to hang out with at that time, for both pre-organized and spontaneous activities. If you go at that time, you don't have to hang out alone. I planned several dining meets for last month's MouseFest, and will probably have a bunch more for this December.

I love going to DW with my family. But, I have to say that I totally LOVE LOVE LOVE walking off at my own fast pace to Space Mountain, and being ALONE in the park, if only for a little while.

Any suggestions on how to sneak away for more alone time?;)

I enjoy reading the solo boards as well and doing some posting here and there. While I haven't yet traveled alone, it is good to hear some suggestions about being a young, single adult who likes to go on vacation! I talk a lot so it would probably be challenging for me to go solo and have no one to chat with right away about the day's adventures as they are happening. Maybe one day!
