Well yesterday I had my Myocardial heart scan under stress!
1st of all I had my drip inserted, and I was very brave because I don't really like needles, but then again who does??
Next to have the drip started to induce stress to my heart and then the radioactive substance......Well I'm hooked up to an ECG and BP monitor and the Dr explains what's going to happen, the drip run's for 6 mins and halfway through the radioactive substance is added, and then she explains to me some of the side effects that may occur

......................................
So all that aside and telling myself that I was having no side effects, we're ready to go and almost immediately as soon as the drip starts I get the most intense pain straight across my chest and shoulders and my heart is beating soooo fast

, the Dr decides to change the 6min protocol to a 4min one due to my fast heart rate!, both the Dr and nurse take an arm each checking my pulse whilst the ECG and BP monitor take readings, It was sooo scary at that time, but both the nurse and Dr were so reassuring, I was so glad once the 4mins were up, and thankfully my heart soon settled.
After that I had to wait for 2hrs due to the backlog for my scan's, which were uneventful.
I was then told I go home and the Consultant would have a look at the results, and I may be asked to return for another test at rest, but would be phoned in the next couple of days.
So this afternoon I get the dreaded call, I have to go back on the 27th July!
