Hi All * UPDATE*

:hug:Sending you a lot of best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Just a quick update, unfortunately my scan that was scheduled for today was cancelled yesterday due to a problem with the equipment.

So it's now due to be done on Wednesday of next week.

My Mum & Dad have their heart scan's today, and I'm taking my DD's for their ECG's later after school.

Poor you having your appointment cancelled.

Hope things get better for you health wise

Tammy

sorry to hear of your health problems, hope they get sorted soon and you start feeling better.xxx

Well yesterday I had my Myocardial heart scan under stress!

1st of all I had my drip inserted, and I was very brave because I don't really like needles, but then again who does??

Next to have the drip started to induce stress to my heart and then the radioactive substance......Well I'm hooked up to an ECG and BP monitor and the Dr explains what's going to happen, the drip run's for 6 mins and halfway through the radioactive substance is added, and then she explains to me some of the side effects that may occur :scared:......................................

So all that aside and telling myself that I was having no side effects, we're ready to go and almost immediately as soon as the drip starts I get the most intense pain straight across my chest and shoulders and my heart is beating soooo fast :sad1:, the Dr decides to change the 6min protocol to a 4min one due to my fast heart rate!, both the Dr and nurse take an arm each checking my pulse whilst the ECG and BP monitor take readings, It was sooo scary at that time, but both the nurse and Dr were so reassuring, I was so glad once the 4mins were up, and thankfully my heart soon settled.
After that I had to wait for 2hrs due to the backlog for my scan's, which were uneventful.
I was then told I go home and the Consultant would have a look at the results, and I may be asked to return for another test at rest, but would be phoned in the next couple of days.
So this afternoon I get the dreaded call, I have to go back on the 27th July!

Thanks Michelle  Not heard any results on my parents scan's apart from being told by the staff that did them telling them that things looked ok, my DD's had their ECG's on tuesday and luckily enough for me I work in our Paediatric outpatients so my eldest DD's Consultant had a look at them and I received a phone call to say they looked ok to her, but they will both be scanned in one of our Cardiology clinic's.
So next I have my app in the heart failure clinic on tuesday.

Many thanks for your best wishes Michelle, I really appreciate them :flower3:

Eek must say needles are not my friend either, but a necessary evil for health! Glad to hear the results are good so far. Hope the 27th goes well :)

Thanks Mandy , it is a worry, but hoping with these scan's they'll be able to find the cause of my problems and hopefully treat it.
Just unfortunate I have to go back on the 27th as it's our Wedding Anniversary.....Hey but I can milk it a little and maybe a good pressie will be heading my way ;)

Once again thanks , I do try not to worry too much especially in front of my Mum & Dad as they are sooo worried at the moment.

Well after a routine app with my GP on Friday I was signed off from work for a month:eek:, he wants to wait and see what my next scan show's?

Hopefully I'll get a few more answers on Tuesday when I attend the Heart Failure Clinic?

I have been thinking about you, Karen. I remember back when you first started feeling poorly and had the tracer thingy, didn't you?

Best of luck for Tuesday:hug: your GP obviously wants you to take things easy ::yes::
