Hi all - Newbie questions!

Do you think its feasible to split the trip?
I was debating maybe doing the 1st week at AoA and 2nd at PORS or FQ. Too many options! I borrowed Kim Wiley's WDW with Kids from the library today. Loads to info to digest for the evening :cloud9:

Honestly for a first trip and the fact you are on you own with your kids I really wouldn't recommend a split stay. You will be without a room for the whole day potentially and you also have the hassle of packing and unpack when you could be out doing something more fun!

Id been thinking that would be the case and Id thought maybe AoA 1st week and POFQ 2nd week but I think two weeks at POFQ would probably be a better idea. The theming of AoA caught my eye though!

Which month is generally the cheapest and quietest month at WDW?

If you go on the WDW website under I think compare resorts there is a pricing structure. This ranges from value season to holiday season from memory. If you can afford a moderate I personally wouldn't bother with a value resort, even AoA which does look cool. However cool, the rooms are still smaller as are the beds. The pools have no slides, the resorts have no restaurants and there are no water sports.

Thanks guys. I think I was having a mad half hour! As if dragging the kids across the world on my own wasn't enough madness! I think I'll stick with POFQ and have a look at that part of the website (thanks btw :thumbsup2 ) and see what I can manage & what suits.
We are off to DLP in Oct and next May and the prospect of no Disney trips for possibly two years is going to be hard so I'm going to see whether I can move our WDW trip forward. I'd be happy enough with 2015, 2016 just feels like forever away.

Sounds fab to me :)

You can always schedule in some time to visit the AoA resort. That way you can have a look around and take some pictures. :thumbsup2

TY. Just looking for the pricing structure at the minute and hopefully then I can manage to push this holiday a lot closer! 1075 days would be a horrendous countdown timer to look at! But then again it would be better then having no WDW trip in the pipeline :goodvibes

Cant find the season start/end dates. Any ideas? The website actually dismisses the fact that one time of year would be cheaper then another in the FAQ! It reads something along the lines of there's something to suit every budget, kind of forcing you to book based on when you think you'd like to go rather then basing booking on whens cheapest. Very well played Disney ;)
