Hi Folks
Nice to see some of the old familiar faces ( sort to speak )
Hi to you all. I haven't been around for ages for a number of reasons, but its nice to be back and to be able to say Hi to you all once again.
Went to book our Christmas stay at DLP today but no seats at all on Eurostar OOPS ! Anyway I did manage to book the 7 -10 Jan in the end, but only just last 3 standard seats went while I was discussing the situation on the phone with DH so in the end we got first class out and standard back. Not there for Christmas but there for DS 10th birthday instead
Guess what, we are staying in the Hotel New York this time so all the Hotel New York fans out there will be pleased.
Great to be back folks and hope to catch up with you all again Warebears, Bex, Cryano etc

Hi Dee - great to "see" you again!! :goodvibes

Glad to hear you're staying at the Hotel New York!! :thumbsup2 :teeth:

Hi :-) I'm a relative newbie here, but we will be at DLRP from 8th - 12th Jan staying at Sequoia Lodge.

Hi Dee :wave2: Shame about Christmas but being there for DS's birthday I'm sure will make it a great trip :goodvibes

The park should be much quieter also, so lots of photos and rides without long waits :)

Sweetiepie - we've stayed at the SL twice, once last Christmas and in July last year - really enjoyed both stays but listened to Bex and co this time and decided to try out the New York.

Oh my - I'm going to feel awfully responsible if you don't like it!! :scared: Fingers crossed you do!! :teeth:

I'm sure we will Bex and if we don't its not down to you.
Feel free to sing all the praises of the HNY to me - I can't remember everything.
ie What are the breakfasts like?
Where can you sit to chill out, the SL has plenty of places but I'm not so sure about the HNY.
Any ideas on what to do for DS's 10th birthday on the 8th Jan while at HNY
Sorry if this posting belongs somewhere else on the board or if all the answers can be found elsewhere - if they can, just point me in the right direction. Congratulations to all the "new" moderators, well new since I was on here last anyway.

Great to see you here again Dee - glad you got a trip booked. We only just got back but I'm already looking at trips for next year!

Thanks Dee :) No these questions are in exactly the right place, and carry on asking as many as you like. :surfweb:

I've never been down to breakfast at the HNY - we take advantage of the room service! But by all accounts, it isn't such a bunfight as the other hotels (apart from the DLH, of course) which is probably why they aren't bothering to entice HNY guests away to the park with the GMF breakfast!

I do think you may find that there are not so many places to chill out at the HNY, as at Sequoia Lodge. I find it a similar problem at the Newport Bay - all lobby and small bar!! Hopefully you may find some little corners that I don't remember!!

I imagine that breakfasts must be quite civilised ;) since along with Disneyland Hotel you cannot get GMF breakfast so clearly they do not need some guests to go to the park for breakfast :)

Although we have nevered stayed at HNY; maybe some day, we went there most days for the character meets. Very organised and not crowded even in the height of summer 2005 :thumbsup2

I have to admit we have always enjoyed the breakfasts apart from the one freebie in the park last time - paper plates, plastic knives and forks and a right free for all UGH ! The breakfast at the SL is always nice and quite a lot of choice, the Newport bay was even better in a bit "posher" setting and the one in the Cheyanne was fine although a bit more basic but no paper plates or plastic knive4s and forks:goodvibes We expect silver service in the Hotel New York though;)
Steve I have tried to contact you in the last couple of weeks - you may have been at DLP though. Josh says HI:cool1:

Dee :wave2: lovely to see you again! :goodvibes

Sorry you couldn't get there for Christmas again but it will be fabulous to be there for Josh's birthday. :yay:
