I thought I'd share with everyone that a friend who works in VIP tours has advised that meetings are starting to decide whether to bring the UTH tour back or not this year. I asked what we could do to help, and he told me a couple people have written to the VIP tour office and they have forwarded the emails onto their new manager who is looking into bringing it back. The more letters they have, the better case they'll have for bringing it back ... so write those emails ...

The email address is viptours@universalorlando.com

For those of you wondering what the Unmasking the Horror Tour is, it is a behind the scenes tour during Halloween Horror Nights. Previous behind the scenes tours have provided fans, ‘fraidy cats, and those just plain curious a closer, in depth look at the event - allowing guests to take a look at the incredible detail put into the event and explore some of the haunted houses during the day with lights on.

Last year, management at Universal didn't see fit to bring back the tour.

Let's convince them to bring it back this year!!

This tour is da bomb!!! I was so bummed when they discontinued it last year. Let's bombard Universal with email and let them know they need to bring it back. It is THE BEST!!!

If you are a HHN addict like I am, you undoubtedly miss the "Unmask the Horror" tours that Universal has had in the past.

I hope that Universal will bring this tour back for 09.
I have sent an email off to express my hope and desire it will return.
ok, i begged in that email....

I suggest that you do the same.

Send your requests to:

homie, your thread did not pop up when i went looking

just jumping back in to say,

i am completely and totally addicted to HHN.......

i went to the very first unmask the horror tour and have not missed any of them.

We'll just ask Phamton to combine the two ... no worries!!

Phamton ... can you work your magic please??

I sent my email and received a response back indicating that a final decision hasn't been made and that I've been added to their contact list for their HHN tours. I also mentioned to them that I'll be participating in a RIP tour again this year.

i sent another email.

i asked which door to show up at so i can start begging early....

It's much different during the day with the lights on than it is during the event itself. You get to see all the detail they put unto the houses that you don't see during the night plus there are no scareactors to scare you ...

I mentioned that to my wife but she says that she wouldn't do that one either. However, I suspect that my mom would do the UTH tour.

Here is what I sent

Hi
Please bring back the daytime tour, it was one of the best times my family and I had in all the years we have been going to Universal and HHN .
There is monumental interest in this! Please give it the attention it deserves

Thank You
Mike Radka & Family

Just trying to do my part! I'll let you guys and gals know if I get a response!

I will be writing an email to support the cause. This year will be my first HHN with DH, he's been before, and I'd love to see the tour. I hope they bring it back. :goodvibes

One of the things that was particularly cool about this tour was getting to see the houses in the light AND before the details in the houses got destroyed. We took one early on, and I remember our guide pointing out things like all the medication bottles at the beginning of Freddy's house and telling us that people would be stealing them throughout the season. Sure enough, on each subsequent visit, we noticed less and less. (It was also cool to learn that they try to ward off theft by coating them with an icky vaseline-like substance...just the sort of cool trivia you learn on UTH). Another highlight of that year was seeing where the Jack commercials were filled and being allowed to take photos sitting at the fortune teller's table. I'm still in shock that they discontinued it last year...it's made to order for HHN fanboy/fangirl types like DH and myself.

i sent an essay in.

no response yet either.

i listed all the points on why the UTH is beneficial for the guests and universal.
