HHN site is up..........woo hoo

I wonder if we should go. We could go on the 27th or 28th. The only problem is that if we go on Saturday, it will have already have been a long day with an early morning the next day. The Sunday is our day for Discovery Cove, so we will be up early and afterwards have nothing planned, but the next day we are at SeaWorld and have to be there at opening because we have a tour planned.

So, Saturday night or Sunday night....choices, choices. Which night would be less crazy? Any ideas? Maggie

That's an EASY question.

Saturdays = open until 2a, lines of 60-120+ mins for EVERYTHING, crowds around 40,000+
Sundays = open until midnight, lines of 30-60 mins for everything, crowds vary from 10,000-20,000.

Sundays = win.

and still I dont see which park(s) it will be at...interesting, you can buy tickets and still not know where to go yet

with 23 nights for hhn, i am guessing it will be at the studios again this year.

the stay and scream tickets are listed as:
fri.....$39.95
sat....$54.95

sun-thur......$25.95

i hope that when the ap rates come out, they will be the same as the S & S tickets.

and of course the e.p. will be high to off set any savings one might get.

i'm going 4 nights this year.
the frequent fear pass is $64.95 this year. not sure what the price was last year but i only need 2 nights on the off peak nights.

i wonder if i buy the freq fear pass if i use it twice if i can give it away to anyone on the 8th of oct.

I know that Fridays and Saturdays it's open until 2am,but honestly by 8pm it's so crowded you can barely move, unless you have those express passes which you pay extra for I would call these days impossible to do!! I go every year and it's always crowded but the best days are Sundays,Wednesday or Thursday, the earlier in the month the better.

Wow, that's amazing the site is up.

Going to HHN is the same as visiting the park any day of the year.
There's a peak time in the middle where everyone shows up and the place becomes packed (gridlock).
The only way to win, is to show up early, do the Stay and Scream, get thru as many houses as possible (do the soundstage houses first), then watch the Bill and Ted show along with the fireworks. That takes about 3-4 hours, and I've had enough at that point. If you stay until closing, the lines drop off, but that's a long evening.

Wow. The fact that the site is up and running with tickets is pretty awesome.

Hopefully HHN 17 gets here quickly. I'm really hoping to be working as a scareactor this year:banana: But if not, I will certainly be getting the frequent fear pass:yay:

Forgot to mention that someone on The Vault called Universal yesterday to see about AP discounts and tickets are only available online as of right now. They don't even have them in their computer system yet.

Mac, we are doing the FF pass too (for the 7th and the 11th). Last time we got a FF pass (2004), they made us get our pic taken. I am guessing it will just be the paper tickets this year with the bioscan. I hate that bioscan. Or rather, it hates me!

We will be buying Express passes for those nights too, so we don't have to mess around. Prices aren't out for that yet, though. We were considering an RIP tour instead on one of the nights. Did anyone see info on that yet?

yea, i am leaning towards doing the RIP on a saturday if they have it.
the express for a saturday would be the highest in cost out of all the days.

if the ff pass is cheaper than buying 2 nights separate, then i will buy that instead.

i'm counting on going 4-5-6-7 for hhn.

hope the ap and fl resident rates come out soon.

i'm trying to call for info on the rip tour.

Apologies if this is a silly question. We have APs, can we buy the stay and scream tickets?

Thanks.

Absolutely. Anyone with a park ticket of any kind can purchase a stay-and-scream upgrade. Make sure to go to vacation services and tell them how many you want and be pay. It's less expensive to stay-and-scream during the week.

i have purchased the stay and scream tickets before when i bought the 5 day promo tickets.

i have the ap and this year will see which will be cheaper for me.
the S & S or the ap discount.

in years past, the ap discount was the same as the fl res and s & s tickets.

i think since i will be going 4 nights in a row, i will do the rip on the saturday as those days are super crowded and still waits up to 35 minutes in an express line. i took the unmask the horror tour last year and still have that number. the number i have is for all the tours in the park.

i hope that someone will post here if they see the release of the ap discounts for hhn tix before i do.
if i see it , i will post any info i read.

Slight correction. There is no vacation services anymore. You can purchase Stay and Scream at Guest Services though.
