HHN - just found out

Whew! We'll be there 10/10-10/13- just missing Hell Week. When you do the stay and scream, where do you stay, and what is there to do? Sounds like it would be worth it to stay if you can do 1-2 houses before the gates open to everyone else. Historically, how much were the Stay and Scream vs. regular HHN tickets?

for S & S, i do a ressie at finnegans and pass the time eating and visiting with friends.
other times just talk with other homies and wait the time out.

there are no stay and scream tickets.
if you have the hhn ticket, you can stay in the park at the waiting sections until the park is cleared out.

when security gives the all clear, the TM's allow you to go to the houses.

there should be 3 houses open at that time.

you can do all 3 houses before the park opens.
you are ahead of the crowds then.

what i do is buy the epp for hhn.
even though i do the houses w/o the epp at first, i use them later for repeats of the houses.

it is still light out if you do the houses when S&S sections open and the effect is so much different when it is totally dark out.

When you do ressies at Finnigans, what time do you make them for? And do you need to wait until 180 days out to do this? We've been to US x3 but never HHN so trying to make plans. Thanks for all your help- it is invaluable to have people who know things from experience when you are planning : )

If you arrive prior to 4:30pm, you shouldn't have any issues. Finnegan's starts to fill up once the S & S area is opened.

the 180 days out is a disney thing.
not like that at the darkside.

if you have a larger group, a ressie is a good thing.
(make it a few days out from when you plan to eat there.)

if it isn't, don't worry about getting a ressie like Metro stated.

During HHN though, is it difficult to get a table at Finnegan's at around 4 or 4:30? Will it be harder to get ressies at that time?

Not usually hard at all. Lots of people think they can wait until 5pm and get a table...which is possible but it's a crap shoot. But like I said...you won't need reservations if you arrive by 4:30pm...it would be wasting energy to even bother with it.

you won't need a ressie for 4 or 4:30.

if you want 5:30-6:00, you might want a ressie depending on the night.
and if you have a group of 7 or more.

not all nights are bad at finnegans.
saturday nights would be the time to make a ressie if you wanted to eat there at 5:30-6:30 period.
