Didn't you use to go on Thursdays and Sundays, and skip Fridays and Saturdays due to crowds. You seem to have reversed that the past couple of years.

Yup...my office moved and now I'm only 10 minutes from Universal...rough huh? Now I'll stop by on my way home from work. Still not doing Saturdays...maybe a Thursday night here or there.

Hi I havnt been here for a long while...long story short cancer, better now...anyway I have been on the boards since 2009 but wasnt too much of a poster just a bug fan...UI was starting to get social and then life happened. was sick for almost 2 years and now Im trying to get back to doing things. Im heading to Orlando on Sept 30th for a week at the Royal Pacific. I go with my parents who are both 65 so Universal is just easier for a trip for us with a lot less traveling to get around. We will also go to Epcot Wednesday for food and wine but spend most of our time at Universal. We have gone to HHN over the years (Ive been to 14) Even tho they are older they still like it and we usually just go early and leave not too late which keeps us out of most of the drunken crowds. Bought a Rush of fear pass this year so we have admission for Thurs Oct 3rd(with express), 4th-6th to do what we might miss Thursday if it gets rough. We will "stay n scream" thursday probably on the Finnegans side so we can try and see the houses in the front with the huge walks while we have express and if we cant get to the sprung tents at Barney the 1st night they are easy to just go in at the start on another night that weekend. Usually we manage all the houses with express and we like to catch Bill and Ted with that pass too since you get the first entry and its easier to not get trampled lol.
Anyway we are 3 friendly faces and if anyone is out there with someone older that feels weird like my folks do we will be wandering around feeling out of place too...Be fun to say hello to people. We love HHN its really a fun time.

I am going next Thursday (9.26) with an ROF express pass! We are only going one night, but the ROF + express was actually cheaper than getting a regular ticket + express...go figure.

i think it is fantastic that with all you have gone through, are doing this trip for hhn!
you and your parental units will have a lot of fun at hhn and in the parks.


i won't be at the darkside until the 6th but would enjoy meeting you and the family. i'll be at finnegans holding area.

i'll have a chainsaw wolf black and white jersey on that night.
macraven will be on the back of that shirt.

didn't get to this year yet.

this year i am not ready at all for my trip.
leaving home on 9/30.
i had emergency surgery last week, spent 3 nights in the hospital then home last weekend.
had an open surgery and appendix removed.
will be seeing the surgeon this week for my follow up.

due to that, i have not contacted homies to do a meet up.
i do this thread so everyone can find others to meet and greet prior to the hhn event.
some of us go solo and some of us just enjoy putting a face with a screen name when we go to the darkside.

i started doing hhn in 1999 and have meet so many wonderful homies on the Dis boards.
i hope i will be able to meet as many of you that post here come this october.
