I just wanted to give a brief report on the next to last night of HHN for 2007.
I arrived around 4:15pm and needed to get the EP that I ordered online at the ticket kiosk. I tried several times and several machines..no luck.
After heading into the park, I went to Guest Services to see if they could help. About 10 minutes passed when the dreaded "our system is down" message was delivered to those of us waiting. I thought...what happens if the computers don't come back up and I can't get the EP that I already paid for.
I walked around a bit and then decided to wait and see if the computer system was operational...it was and GS gladly issued the EP. Off I went.
After hanging out in the NY section, I headed over to the S & S area. There seemed to be some confusion about what time they were actually letting people in to the area. I was let in around 5:15pm and headed for the queuing area for NOES. I chatted with a few people including a young lady and her son..it was their first time at HHN. By the time 5:30 rolled around, there was quite a long line waiting to enter. The TM's came over and opened the line and away we went. After heading through the house and waiting for 20 mins for the park to reopen, Psychoscareapy was next. That was my favorite house of all this year.
I headed down towards Louie's and ran into "B" and "A"...the lady and son. She couldn't figure out where Friday the 13th was located so they allowed me to take them to Jaws and the entrance to the house. They both really liked the house...even though it was still light outside. The water jets at the end really soaked them both.
She asked if I would mind guiding them through the park so naturally I say yes. Next was The Thing...that freaked "B" out a bit..."A" was laughing the whole time. We then headed to Jack's Funhouse. We all liked that one a lot.
After heading back over towards RHPS..which "B" wanted to see but "A" wouldn't like..we decided to do TCM. Even though there were several scenes not being acted, the house was still fun and the chase at the end was the best one yet!
Vampyr was next and was jumpin as always. I noticed A LOT more skin this time so I guess the scareactors were going for a strip club experience.
I then told them there was only one house left, "B" couldn't believe it. She had no idea we had walked through seven houses w/o a dinner or drink break. But...she wanted to finish before eating so off we went to Dead Silence.
Dead Silence had a posted wait time of 30 mins but it was more like 45 mins before we entered. "A" was very interested in the doll thing and how dolls were going to be scary...he thought I was talking about Barbies and such.
They loved DS..as did the group of four teenage girls behind me. They screamed at everything. If they saw a lamp post, they would scream. I was laughing my butt off!
After we made it back to Monster Cafe and the HUGE lines everywhere, "B" wanted to see Bill & Ted. So...we split company and I wished them well and a safe trip home to Pensacola.
I headed to L & F to see if Phamton was working and......sure enough......she was there. We chatted a bit and then I said my goodnights.
I then headed to the garage...ET 462...and headed for home. It was a great evening and meeting a few new friends was a great experience!
Notes.....
Several TMs told he Halloween night was very light and Thursday night was DEAD. Friday night was really crowded and the EP's were sold out. I can't imagine what Saturday is going to be like.
According to the crowd levels, you completely forgot it was after Halloween. I hope next year, Universal will include both parks again...IOA has sooo much more atmosphere than the Studios.
All in all....four visits to HHN was about all I could take this year.
I'm already looking forward to next year...as I know some of you are too.
