HHI Will we be bored?

Will we be bored if we go to HHI?

I can't remember a time when the sofa in our villa at WDW has ever been used as DH likes to go, go go! I have been trying to get him to slow down. We have considered going to HHI for our next trip. I am fine with relaxing and reading books all day but I don't think that DH will be. We are reserved at BWV now. Should we just plan on going there so that he can go to the park for a few days and compromise and give me a couple of pool days?

Why not split up your BWV trip with one or two mid-week nights at VB? It is only a 2 hour drive, so you can leave WDW around 10:00 and get to the beach by noon.

When are you planning to go? That could make a lot of difference...

If you're going during the summer the whole island (not just the Disney resort) is more active. In the "off" season, some people might get bored, but some of us like it that way! (Only we prefer to call is "relaxing", not "boring". )

Are you planning to drive or fly to WDW? If you're driving and can manage a day or two at HH on the way there or the way back, that might be a good way to give it a try.

We are going in March. I considered doing Vero for the entire trip but thought that it would be difficult to get DH to drive by the Orlando area to get there !

Now I am back to thinking that we should just call off our out west trip for next summer and by AP's in March (not going to HHI at all) and spend another 2 weeks at WDW next summer. Ahhhh, the problem with DVC, too many things that we want to do and not enough time.....oh and that I have to do all the planning and hope that the rest of the family will go along with it!

Unless you are from way up North, HHI will likely be too cold to swim much in March. We are going the first week of April and I'm not counting on swimming in the ocean - late May is about as early as you can "count on" weather warm enough to enjoy swimming in the ocean/laying out. There are warm weeks/days when it is lovely - but you still get cold snaps/cool mornings and evenings on a regular basis.
