Will the villa have aluminum foil, ziploc baggies or saran wrap, or should I put this on the grocery shopping list?

What about coffee filters? I know a starter pack is involved, but will there be enough filters for a week? If not, anyone know the size of the coffee pot, so we can bring some filters from home?

Thanks!

Hi-
There are a couple of coffee filters, they are the round type, not the funnel type. It's just a start up supply. You must bring saran, ziplocs, etc. There are paper towels, tp, etc and a small box of laundry detergent. The kitchen sink has a new sponge and dish soap along with a couple of packets of dishwashing powder.
Have a great time, it's my very favorite place to be.

Just to clarify a bit, the coffee that's provided is the filter-pack type, not separate filters. You might want to bring a supply of your own Mr. Coffee-type filters, or you can purchase more of those filter-packs at either the Mercantile or a local grocery store.

We like to bring an assortment of the "disposable" zip-lock plastic containers. There are very few bowls, etc. in the villa for storing leftovers and we tend to do quite a bit of in-room cooking when we're at Hilton Head (especially compared to when we go to WDW!).

Have a wonderful trip!

The coffee pots are full size, too, not the little 4-cuppers at some places. Speaking of coffee, there is a Starbucks about a mile and a half from the resort heading out on the main drag. It will be on your left in a small shopping center (naturally, it's on your right as you head in ;) ). Actually, there are two but the first one you see coming into HHI is several miles from the resort. I live in a small town in southwest Virginia where no one makes a decent latte, so the nearby Starbucks was a real treat. :earsboy:

If you're bringing along baggies, saran wrap, etc., I always find I want to have kitchen handi-wipes on hand rather than using wet paper towels. I also stow away fabric softener sheets in our suitcases- makes the clothes smell fresh and then you avoid buying a big bottle of softener you may not use.

Enjoy Hilton Head!!!

Just an added thought.

The box of laundry detergent only does one load of wash. You may want to bring/buy more. There are a few grocery stores nearby.

Also...DON'T bring your own towels! Or beach towels! Someone had posted that they should be brought to HHI because of the limited towel service. But, the towels were PLENTIFUL! We wrapped up in pool towels, then I just washed them in the condo. You can also take the pool towels from the beach house down to the beach.

We drove all the way from home with a full basket of 6 beach towels and 6 bath towels that we never used. :sad2:

Thanks for the towel tip! I had planned on bringing two large beach towels that would have taken a lot of room in my suitcase. I will just use the resort's towels now.
