I know this has been asked before, but my wife and I will be visiting HHI for 10 days in October. We have been there before, but have always ate at places like Steamers, Crazy Crab, Smokehouse BBQ, Guisseppi's, HH Brewing Co., etc. We would like to eat maybe once at a nice moderately priced location. We have heard of places like the Oyster Factory. Any suggestions (including in Bluffton) would be appreciated.

You could add to your list:

Truffles restuarant, located in Sea Pines.
La Normandie, close to the DVC
Cafe Europa (try the early bird special)

Try....Captain Woody's.....great food relaxing...great prices! We even went there twice for dinner!!!

Very laid back. Eat outside on the deck.

Give it a try.

And of course the Sea Shack!! A locals hang out but the best seafood around!

When we went down in June, I looked on Restaurant.com and pulled up several restaurants in Hilton Head. You can look at the menus and then purchase a gift certificate to use when you go. I paid $3.00 for a $25 gift certificate.

There are alot to choose from.

I agree, Red Fish is my new favorite restaurant, but be warned, it's not moderately priced. Try it for lunch if you want to spend less.

A lot of locals are saying good things about Iguana Joe's as well.

The early bird at Kurama (Japanese) is wonderful.

For a fun lunch try a burger at Harold's Diner - yes it looks like a dive.

Da Vinos is an excellent Italian Restaurant, its not a pizza and pasta kind of place, the meals range from $15 to 23 but the food and wine are excellent.

San Miguels is a mexican restaurant that has excellent and inexpensive food $7 to 12. It is walking distance from the Disney resort across the Sheltercove marina/harbor
