Any suggestions on activities, cost, dining, crowds at pool, dolphin tours, what we should sign up for early??? The young lady who is 4 right now but will turn 5 rpior to the trip would also love if anyone would be so kind to post pictures of anything. She loves to look at photos and googling did not produce much to her fancy. THANKS!!!!

No need to sign up for anything before arrival - there won't be a problem with participating in the resort programs.

There are a TON of activities for all ages, both at the resort and on HH island. There are special programs for the younger children with crafts, nature hikes, crabbing, shelling, Horseback Riding, Ghost Sories, Campfires, un-Birthday parties, Shadow Tales, Magic shows, Kid's Night Out and also programs for teens - Teens Night Out. many of the programs offer a discount for DVC members. The Dolphin tours are available right from the resort or from a couple of sources at the Shelter Cove marina bordering the resort. There are also fishing excursions, sunset sail cruises, Shannon Tanner concerts (at the Shelter Cove band shell across from the resort) and live entertainment nightly at Kingfisher, Scott's Fishmarket and San Miguels all along the boardwalk at Shelter Cove.

In addition, there is golfing, tennis, 300 restaurants, lots of outlet malls and many botique shops within a short drive from the resort.

There are a lot of photos and more information in the HH Adoration thread.

Have a great trip! We will also be there in early June! :)

WE LOVE DISNEY'S HHI!!! There is a ton of fun waiting there for your family. I have a DS 16 and DD12 and they absolutely love it there. Like Doc said there are plenty of activities for the younger crowd and they also have things geared toward the older ones too. At the resort, my kids like to go kayaking. They also like the geocashing with the portable GPS unit (much fun for the entire family, it is done Disney-style). They have horseshoes, basketball and billiards.

Subscribing......our kids are dd19, ds 16 and ds 11.....we are going to HHI in July for 6 nights. Can't wait. :goodvibes
