HHI in March?

Last minute thought about checking into a HH DVC trip the last week of March-yes this year. Is it worth even calling, better yet is it worth going if it is available? Points for 2BR is very reasonable. We never planned to go to HH but airfare is very high to Mexico and we thought this board may have some good insight. Also wondering about the weather that time of year. 4 of us-2 adults and 2 teens. Any input appreciated. Thanks.

The two times we've visited HH were in March. Once was the third week, the other, the last week.

The weather was very nice. Once, it was fairly cold - we were able to light the fireplace in our 3BR. At the end of one of our trips, we were in shorts.

One good thing about this time of year is that, the no-see-ums weren't out yet. Those darn things really BUG me!!

We were able to visit Savannah, Charleston, Beaufort and, (at the time), we were able to drive onto Parris Island and take the bus tour. The weather never hindered any of our excursions.

Being March - spring break had begun, so all restaurants and other attractions were open, but we never experienced heavy crowds.

All in all, I suspect our next trip will again be in March - I would recommend it!

We are going in the last week of March this year. I just made the reservation last week, so there was availability as of last week in 2BR (There were no studios or 1BR). The average high for then is just shy of 70, I hope there will be no cold spells.
