HHI in April - 7 month window

I hate to throw a wrench in, but April can be a very difficult time to get a reservation on HH--it depends on the week and it depends on when Easter falls. The Heritage Classic golf tournament is one of the busiest weeks on HH and that fall in April. The resort does get busy as a result. When we were there in April 2006, the resort was sold out.

Too funny- I just clicked the link and it was ME!!! Never had that happen before!

Nj week is always the first week of November- kids are off the first Thurs & Fri of the month, for a teacher's convention- so people either take that whole week, or part of that week and into the next.

for anyone who has been in MArch/April--how warm was the pool?

We have been there the past 6 years in March / April and the pools are plenty warm -- the kids have swam every day. We arrive on 8/17 for our very first ever HH summer trip. Counting down the days!

We were able to get a 2BR at HHI for this past Easter Week .... I did call day-by-day when I booked as that was before the new booking rules.

Easter was very late March. Weather was in upper 60s or very low 70s most days. The kids swam in the pool every day for a little while. We only went to the beach one day....was very windy which made it feel even colder, so even with long pants and sweatshirts we didn't stay long, but we did marvel at a couple high school boys out there boogie boarding. All that said, the weather was wonderful for biking, tennis, and kayaking, and our kids enjoyed lots of the activities around the resort. I personally think it's a great time to visit!

We were there this past April during spring break. We didn't book until around 5 months out I think and no problem. We had a 2 bedroom so don't know if that will make a difference.

The weather was great and we left the door to the deck open most of the time. It was probably around 60 in the morning and 80 during the day. We had no problem swimming in the pool, riding bikes, walking on the beach....whatever we wanted to do. It was very pleasant and the CMs were great so you will have a wonderful time.
