We are traveling to HHI in April for Spring Break. We need tips on courses with low green fees. Are there any at this time of year? Are there certain times of day that are better?

Thanks.

DH has golfed at several of the HHI golf courses. I think he has a secret goal to play all of them. If you want low greens fees, DON'T play Harbourtown Golf Links, the most expensive course on the island. Another relatively expensive one is Ocean Course (which had very little ocean view-go figure), also in Sea Pines. If you're not too particular on playing a specific course, try "last minute tee-times", I don't know too much about it except that you can call the day beforehand. And I think all the courses are less expensive for afternoon play. Palmetto Dunes, across the street, has 3 courses. I know they were offering a special for playing any two of the three courses. I don't know if they're still offering that special. Those courses are really nice. But I think that "Hilton Head Island" and "low greens fees" are pretty much mutually exclusive (or maybe I'm just a cheapskate!).

Thanks for the info. I did chuckle at my own use of "HHI" and "low green fees" in the same posting title!:rotfl2:
