HHI Busy season?

I'm guessing that summer is the busiest time of year for HHI. Does the resort seem crowded in summer months? What is it like in the spring (April/May)?

The resort will be at 100% capacity June-August - but it's a small resort. We have not had luck getting 7-month reservations in late June or July - and we've tried three years in a row.

We have gone in April - we lucked out and had great weather (high 80's midday) when we were there - the day we left the high was in the 50's. It can still be quite cool in April/May - and the beach will be freezing - but it's great weather for bikes, golf, and the pool.

We've been to HHI once the second week of August and this year the fourth week in June. Even though the resort is at full capacity, it never feels like it. There are certainly people around at the pools, beach etc. but not enough to make if feel like its too crowded. We always found lounge chairs by the pool and their beach is so wide there is plenty of room to spread out.

We have been lucky and have gotten a 1 bdrm twice now in June... in 04 an 07, but we did the DBD... so now I don't have clue as to how likely it is to book June with the new rules... let us know please....
