HHI availability in May at 7 months?

I know summer is difficult to book HHI but does anyone know whether it is hard to book a one bedroom there in mid May, probably the week before Memorial Day. We're thinking maybe May 2010. This would be at the 7 month mark as we do not own there.

I called in January for a late April trip. I was on the waitlist about 3 weeks for a 1BR, so good luck!

I booked a 1bd only a few months out for May at HH last year. Unfortunately we weren't able to go so we cancelled the reservation. I'm sure you won't have any problems.

I called about a month ago for a studio for May 11 and 12. I only got the 12th. and I am on the waitlist for the 11th. This was at four months, and was a last minute decision. Our son is graduating from law school on the 10th and we will only be 5 or 6 hours from there so we thought we would spend two nites there after graduation. I hope our wait list comes through for the first nite, if not i dont' know if we will go for only one nite.So good luck for next May.

Thanks for the replies. It seems like it will be okay if I book right at the 7 month mark. This will be a no kids trip and we are both looking forward to checking out Hilton Head and Savannah.
