HHI at Halloween questions- please help!

We have to make a quick decision and are wondering what HHI is like at Halloween. It would be an adults only trip. We have never been there, have always wanted to go, but are not sure what to expect at Halloween. Is it typically crazy busy that time of year? I know these are not normal times, but wondering what your previous experiences have been. Also, for those who have been there recently, how are COVID-19 precautions handled on the island? Do people wear masks and social distance? Thank you in advance!

We haven't been there exactly ON Halloween, but have been that last week in October the past few years and tbh- that is my favorite time to go. Not crazy busy at all! They do fall themed activities that you can sign up for, like pumpkin painting and wreath decor, etc. We live in Savannah, GA so are used to this weather, but the heat and the tourist crowds can make it more stressful if you go in the summer when kids are usually out. October is the best because of lower crowds at the beaches/resort/island and milder temps. Makes bike riding and the resort activities especially nice so you won't be too hot getting around. And the hot tub at night is nice when it cools off! We love going in October!

The covid precautions were still full swing when we were just in HHI in Jan. But the disney resort is definitely way more strict than anywhere else you will go on the island as they follow their own guidelines. We felt very safe at all times. No telling where any of us will be in October of this year though. Things may change so I would just keep an eye on it.
