HH Trip - Should we request a certain room location?

We will be taking our first trip to HH next month and are wondering whether we should request a certain room location or just end up where they put us. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you have any preferences, by-all-means make a request, but the resort is very compact and it's a very short walk to anyplace (pool/front desk). It is about a mile to the beach house and there is a shuttle from the resort if you don't want to drive, walk or bike.

Thanks, Doc. Is it preferable to be in the lodge or would you say it's a matter of personal taste? We are staying in a 1BR but have made no requests at all yet. I may not make any but I want to make sure that there's nothing that I should be trying to avoid.

There are only 21 1BR villas at the resort and 16 of those are in the lodge area (buildings 11 and 12). The other 5 are located beneath the GV's.

Chances are that you'll be in the lodge area. If you'd prefer to be closer to the pool, then request that area. (There are no pool view 1BR's.)

I prefer a Marsh View and have enjoyed watching dolphin, otter and many varieties of birds from our balcony- both in the lodge and in other areas of the resort.
