parents r coming along this trip and i've read somewhere that all buildings are one flight up, just to the first floor. therefore, with 2nd floor rooms being two floors up, any buildings have elevators? how long r staircases? parents r ok with stairs (not handicapped for walking), but they r in their late 70's and i'm wondering if i should request 1st floor room even though i'd prefer 2nd.
Also, r there 2 bdrm villas in the lodge, any opinions on staying there?
any info would be appreciated - thx

Well, I don't have alot of information but once I asked about this, just for this reason, and there are elevators in the lodge only. They did have a handicap accessible room 2 bedroom in the lodge. Hth!

The lodge is the only building with an elevator... you can avoid all stairs by staying in the lodge. I would highly recommend it - there is a pool table in the lodge, and they put out cookies and lemonade in the afternoons. We went there last October and stayed in one of the rooms literally right off the lodge (it was carpeted hallway) and it was GREAT. The lodge is nearest to the beach bus stop, and outside restaurants in walking distance (non Disney) but it is the farthest away from the pool, mercantile and boardwalk. The walk to that area is fairly enjoyable, though -so I would whole heartedly recommend the lodge building. I would suggest that you ask for a water view on as high a floor as possible.

Enjoy :yay: :thumbsup2 :yay:
