Can anyone recommend any nice places to eat while at HH for Thanksgiving? I have been to the island a few times, but do not know too many quality places to eat...

Thanks,

I can't speak to a Thanksgiving meal specifically. The buffet at the Westin should be a good option but I'm sure many other places will have special meals that day. Are you looking for general recommendations? Try this thread

Many have reported getting a prepared Thanksgiving meal at one of the local grocery stores and warming it in your kitchen at the resort.

I'm sure the resort can advise what restaurant options will be available for the Holiday.

Enjoy!

I'm really looking for places to go to eat on the island rather than bring Thanksgiving back to the room. I'm not even that concerned that the menu is set up for a holiday meal, just so it is a great place to have a special meal!

Thanks for all your input!

Without knowing what's open and what they're serving, here's a list of special places.
  1. Old Fort Pub
  2. Sunset Grill
  3. Fitzgerald's
  4. Charlie's (french something)
  5. Alexander's
  6. Charleston's
  7. Santa Fe
  8. Captain's table
  9. Cafe Europa

Some would add CQ's, but not I. Call and make reservations.

We love Scott's Fish Market right there at Shelter Cove ..great meal and staff are wonderful. Also have enjoyed Old Oyster Factory many times.
Connears

Has anyone eaten at the Boathouse? They are open on T'giving (buffet) and we are considering this place. Love to hear your opinions!

TIA,
Kristen

If you want something really different, go to the Hofbrauhaus for German food. They have been around for 30 years and their food is great!

::yes::

I've heard some good things about Boathouse II and others not as good. It's a bit of a hike, near the entrance to the Island and the Old Fort Pub. I wouldn't hesitate to try it but would be hesitant for a holiday meal.
